Installation of the hitch and wiring harness on my 2016 Dodge Journey was much simpler than I had expected (excellent instructions, btw), and the wiring harness and hitch have held up extremely well. I tow very rarely, but I have full confidence that when I back up to the trailer everything will work as it should. Great product. Zero complaints!
Wasn't easy, but it wasn't too difficult either. You should be handy though, to install it yourself.

The tow hitch was easy to install took about 2 hours for my 2015 dodge journey sxt. Has been an amazing hitch would recommend to all this company is amazing customer service is the best experience I've had with any company by far. I will be buying more of their products. Got a new car and I'm going to be putting a hitch on it as well as roof racks. The hitch was used to tow trailers and hold bike racks as well as luggage racks didnt move a bit was amazed like it was a part of the car already.

This is the second purchase from each Trailer for our family not worried about the quality because we know it’s great. I won’t have it installed until next week on Tuesday.
Great hitch receiver! However packaging was minimal. Hardware came loose in box and box had holes. Luckily none fell out of package. Vehicle wiring kit works great but two of the plugs that accept original tail light wiring were poorly made, they plugged well together but would not click as the latch was made sloppy and slightly mismatched. But everything lights up and working.
With the video, it was pretty easy. I did it by myself. I recommend getting help to line the carriage bolts up and don’t forget to undo the plug that’s in the video. Hardest part was undoing the muffler hangers.

I purchased this item on a Sunday, and had it in my hand by Wednesday. The instructions and hardware provided were spot on, and I had it installed in 30 minutes with no issues. Great product!
Very great product, easy install on a 2019 journey. Only pain was dealing with the exhaust hangers and limited space to get to them. Had it installed in 40 minutes, very home mechanic friendly and I'm a mechanic so if you have slight knowledge on cars you're good to go.
Great equipment! Receiver was easy to mount, well made, and performed well over the last year. I'd buy again if I ever needed another.

My dad hooked this up to my SUV so we could have more space when we go on vacation, and it looks pretty good. I cant wait to hook it up to my cargo trailer in a few weeks.

Shipped fast and easy install. Wish the wheels were an inch or 2 wider (for bike rack) to better support fattire bikes. But still solid and holds well.

I watched the video how to install It was very easy my dad was very skeptical he thought it was going to be like an all day job. The video was very descriptive and really helped out a lot if you didn't have this video you would be clueless how to do the install. This definitely helped me out a lot I moved out of my house and sold it and build a new one and this helped us move stuff by just getting people's trailers and borrowing it so at the time this is the only vehicle I had to tow stuff with. The quality of the material is very good and the shipping was awesome too I actually got upgraded to have better shipping.
We purchased this T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector to wire up our 2018 Dodge Journey, along with an etrailer.com hitch. Just like everything we've ever bought from etrailer, it went on with ease and worked the way it should. The instructions were clear and nothing needed to be fabricated to install. We will continue to buy from etrailer, and always appreciate the fast shipping.
WRONG PART IT DOESN'T FIT the bolt holes don't match the cars holes.the hitch doesn't allow the spare tire to me re-installed. How do I get the correct part and shipping information. Note: I left the bolts in my car as hard as they were to install I didn't want to do install them again.

So, I am seeing that this hitch (part #e98845) should be a confirmed fit for your 2018 Dodge Journey. We do have a video of the hitch being installed on the 2018 Dodge Journey as well (please see link) At time stamp 7:33, our installer shows a tip on how to hold the spacer block in place. In the meantime, let me get a return process started for you. We do have a hitch that is the same level of difficulty, however, you will not need to lower or remove the spare tire at all. Check out part # 75648, while we look more into this.

Appearance is still great, now to hook up trailer lights.
This is a great option for someone who wanted an easier install instead of cutting the fascia for a concealed hitch. It does hang down a bit lower than the other options but it does not scrape the ground at all from my experience. The hardest part of the whole install was getting the rubber exhaust hangers loose. It took a lot of prying with WD40 because there were 3 rubber hangers on each side of the dual exhaust Dodge Journey. Once we got it loose we kept the exhaust from hanging with jack stands however a strap would have worked just as well. Then I used a floor jack to keep the hitch in place to tighten the bolts. Now we can take our bikes to Minnesota this summer!
