Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the Replacement Manual Crank Handle for Lippert 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear

Hi there camper owners. Today we're gonna be taking a look, at Lippert's Manual Crank Handle for their landing gear systems, or for their powered stabilizer jacks. This manual crank, will come really in handy if you had a power loss on your trailer while your landing gear or your stabilizer jacks are down. For an example, let's say you're at your camp site and you've set everything up, and then all of a sudden you're have a short and the cells go bad on your battery and you no longer have enough juice to draw 'em back up. Well, now your trailer stuck there at the campsite, and what are you going to do You need a way to be able to retract your landing gear and this handle here will slide directly in it, whether it's your landing gear or your stabilizer jack, and you can retract those manually, see we can bring up our stabilizers or if it was our landing gear, maybe we need to pull our truck under it and then we can lower it down and hook up our fifth wheel or our gooseneck. Additionally, if maybe you get to your campsite and you find oh no we've left our accessories on, and we had too many accessories on.

Then it exceeded what our charger from our truck was when we we're pulling our camper there and our batteries are now dead, and we're having an issue getting our jacks down, well we can grab our handle and we can go ahead and take care of that manually as well. And I kinda liked this because you can use the power option, and maybe you're like, ah you know, I wanna go a little bit, put a little bit extra on it from what the motor put on there. You can stick your handle in here and just give that little bit extra snug if you think you need it. And if we look at the end here, it's designed to work with the manual retraction attachment on either your stabilizer jack or your landing gear, and you can see it's just got a slit in there that lines up with the prongs and it's pretty deep here, this shaft. So you might try and use some pliers or something else, and you're really gonna have a hard time finding something that's gonna fit on there.

This slides on there very easily and gives us plenty of leverage. The center portion here has a nice grip on it that rotates so we can grab it by there to stabilize it. And we've got similar handle here on the other side, and you can see, we can easily hold everything and crank it, and we can really get some speed going, 'cause everything moves very easily. And you can do the same in either direction. You'll also notice that the length of our arm here is plenty long to attach into the stabilizer jack or your landing gear and give us plenty of distance outside of our trailer.

So that way we're not bumping our arms and cutting ourselves up on sharp edges underneath and things like that. And so you might be thinking, hey that was sticking out pretty far is this going to be a pain to store It's about 29 inches in length and should store in your under storage compartments fairly easily. That can tuck back up nicely and there's still tons of room in there for plenty of gear so, it's almost unnoticeable, in the amount of space that it takes up. And that completes our look at Lippert's Manual Crank Handle for their landing gear or powered stabilizer jacks..

The perfect fit for the Lippert electric stabilizing jacks on our Lance TT. One of our jacks wasn’t functioning properly on a recent trip and a crank to raise and lower it manually didn’t come with our TT.

by:

Second time was the charm. I chose the wrong part my first attempt. etrailer sent a return label and found the the correct part quickly. I appreciate their assistance and understanding. Won’t look anywhere else for trailer accessories!

by:

My electronic stabilizer jacks front and rear failed to operate while in the down position and I needed the hand crank that slotted to fit this Jack. The staff was very attentive to my concerns and I received my crank within 2 days....I'm a very Happy camper!!!

I traded up to a 2019 Grand Design which came with 4 manual scissors stabiluzers..Very happy with it.

Good quality piece. Purchased to fit Lippert Components Camper Jack - LC363284 to add more pressure after the motor stops. It fits these well and does what I want, however the crank I received doesn't match the picture in the description. (there's only one plastic piece on the end, not a second one on the main shaft).

Good quality works well.

This tool works perfectly for my rv's Lippert electric stabilizers (PSX1) which have a manual overide that is a 1/2" diameter pinned shaft. I hope I never need it but if I don't have one I will most assuredly need one. Should have came with the rv but....they just seem to pass those savings right on along. Get this if you don't have one!

Perfectly

When I took our Class C to etrailer, they used their ingenuity and installed my spare tire carrier in a way that I could raise and lower it from the back of the unit instead of having to crawl under it. That was incredibly ingenious and I was totally thrilled!!! Great job etrailer!!!

by:

excellent quality, but wrong size , 1/2", for my camper scissors jack which needs a
5/8" I. Dia wrench. The I.Dia. should be listed in the description.

This particular Manual Crank handle is designed for a Lippert Components Fifth Wheel Landing Gear, its not designed for a scissor jack. If you could let us know the manufacturer of your jack, wed be happy to look into locating the proper crank for you.

by:

I have a balky electric motor on my Lippert113407 stabilizer jack and I wanted this item in my tool collection just in case the motor gives up the ghost on a trip. The tool fits perfectly into the end of the auger shaft and appears to be very well made.

by:

The Lippert crank handle was as expected when received and of good quality. Customer service was top notch and my part was received in a short time frame. I will continue to shop etrailer for my RV needs.

by:

The landing gear on my toy hauler has caused some trouble, mostly blowing fuses, so I think the drive motor is bad. I bought this crank and will cut the handle off and weld on a large nut. Then I will use the handle with a heavy duty electric impact wrench to turn the landing gear up and down. It should be an easy fix and much cheaper that replacing all the gear.

by:

It worked at lowering my rear stabilizer bars.
I didn't know if I had a Lippert system or not - still don't, actually.
Suggestion: maybe to add to the video or at least the write up - the inner & outer diameter of the "business"end of this thing so if we don't know what brand our application would be for, we could at least measure and see if it would apply.
But, it gets 5 stars because it worked for me!

by:

We replaced our manual crank handle for our jacks. It looks and works like the factory original. etrailer is a good source.

by:

Not my first order with etrailer. Great company to deal with; good prices and a wide selection of products for trailers, hauling, RV's, etc. This order was for this crank handle and some parts to fix the stabilizers on my RV. Ordered on Monday and received the package on Wednesday.

by:

the jack crank fits my atwood power jack since atwood discontinued the handle. needed this crank to go camping

by:

Quick response. Exactly what I wanted

by:

Great product! Only wish my RV actually came with one. Solid construction and easy to use. E trailer is great. Awesome instructional videos as well. I have purchased several items from them. Keep up the good work!

by:

I was expecting the crank to come on a Monday best case. I couldn't move the unit. I received it on a Friday by 10:00AM which enabled me to meet my deadline on moving our trailer out of the storage unit it was in . I feel Wayne understood my need and reacted accordingly saved us a big charge

by:

Works as intended when tested. Fortunately I have not had to use this backup crank yet, but feel confident that I will not be stranded if my battery or crank motor ever fail.

by:

It was so easy to shop at a trailer and such quick delivery and great customer service in keeping us informed. I recommend them highly.

by:

Always have what I need ,and very fast shipping with great customer service. Thanks again

by:

Works great. Can also use for spare tire lowering device.

by:

Hey James, thanks for reaching out. Yes I can provide dimensions for the crank handles we carry. Two common ones are the Lippert # LC119226 and the Ram # RVLG-HDL. I have included a picture that shows dimensions of both. Hopefully one of these match what you are looking for. Or if there is another part you want dimensions for let me know.

  • Will Lippert Spare Tire Winch with Offset Cable Fit 2023 Forest River Sunseeker 3250
Hey Roberto! The Lippert Spare Tire Winch with Offset Cable # LC159056 is universal so you can definitely mount it under your 2023 Forest River Sunseeker 3250. However, I would double check to make sure you will have enough clearance with a tire mounted underneath. If I had to guess it won't hang down any further than your stabilizer jacks but I can't say for sure without knowing what the design is like underneath. I would look under there and find a good mounting location, then use the...
