Rough roads and long miles can wear down basic suspension parts fast. This heavy-duty kit includes 4" tall equalizers that measure 6" from bolt hole to bolt hole and feature built-in grease zerks for easy lubrication. Regular greasing keeps the suspension moving freely so your trailer tracks steady, absorbs bumps better, and tows more smoothly.
Thin shackles are a weak link in many setups. The included 1/2" thick shackle link assemblies are built to take on heavy use without stretching or cracking. They secure the 1-3/4" double-eye springs to the equalizers with solid, wet bolts and flange nuts, keeping the suspension tight and predictable mile after mile.
Where factory nylon bushings wear out fast, this kit’s bronze bushings hold up under load and resist corrosion. The zinc-plated wet bolts are just as strong as black-coated hardware but add extra rust protection. Together they keep the moving points in your suspension system working smoothly and quietly over time.
Everything needed to tie your tandem-axle suspension together is in one kit—2 equalizers, 4 shackle strap assemblies with wet bolts, 8 bronze bushings, 2 dry suspension bolts, 4 wet suspension bolts, and 14 flange nuts. With correctly sized 9/16" bolt holes and a 2-1/4" shackle strap length, the fit is right on spec for consistent geometry and reliable operation.
Dexter designed this kit to make upkeep simple. The built-in grease fittings let you lube the pivot points without disassembly, and the robust steel hardware handles the stresses of tandem-axle travel. Once installed, it keeps your suspension moving freely and evenly—helping prevent harsh jolts, uneven tire wear, and premature component fatigue.

It is such a great feeling that the springs are now riding on unborn shackles. The old ones were so worn that I am surprised that the springs were still connected to the chassis. Peace of mind is a great feeling.
