Will The Bolts And Shackles In The K71-448-00 Kit Work With A 2" Tall Equalizer?

Question:
I have a Dexter heavy duty suspension kit with 4-in equalizers but my trailer has 2 in equalizers can I still use this hardware with my 2-in equalizers? The shackles and bolts are the exact same size the only difference is the equalizers.

Hey Shawn, thanks for reaching out. Yes, you are fine. The Dexter Heavy-Duty Suspension Kit # K71-448-00 can absolutely be used with your existing 2" equalizers. The important thing is making sure the shackle length stays the same. The # K71-448-00 kit comes with 2-1/4" long shackles, so as long as that matches what is on your trailer now, you will be good to go.
The HD shackles and bronze bushings are great. As long as you keep them properly lubricated, they can easily last the life of the trailer. They will really help smooth out and quiet down the suspension too.
What kind of trailer do you have?

I replaced the China junk that came from factory on my camper. The heavy duty stuff from Dexter is top quality. Bolts are drilled for zero fittings. Shackles are 3X thicker. Everything installed easily. I used a couple hyd Jack's and battery powered impacts. These are very nicely designed. Top quality.
