First off, this thing is heavy. I felt sorry for the UPS guy that had to drag that thing up the driveway. I was able to put one end over my shoulder and walk it back to my garage without too much difficulty.
This was packed super well. It arrived without a scratch, thanks to multiple layers of plastic.
I read the written instructions and watched the supplied video as well. This made the driveway installation process super-easy. I backed the van up onto some ramps and went to work. I ran into a bit of a problem on the passenger side. Two of the threaded holes were a bit corroded, and the supplied bolts went in with some dificulty. I tried this out before I dragged the hitch up there (this isn't my first rodeo.) Put a squirt of gel lube in each hole and ran the bolts in and out before proceeding. I only had to release the very back exhaust hanger to get the clearance to get the hitch bolts in. Yay!! That gel lube helped to get the hanger loose.
With all the holes ready to go, I set the ends of the hitch up on a couple of five-gallon buckets under the van and set a pump jack under the receiver. This worked out pretty well for me as I was working alone. One bolt in the passenger side, pump the jack up to where I could get one bolt in the other side, and then everything went easily until I got to the part where I had to trim the bottom of the bumper cover.
The video showed a different pattern than the one I needed, but the guy in the video made sure to say to use the measurements in the instructions, which worked perfectly. Using a multi-tool to cut the hole was genius, as the tin snips I was using didn't want to get beyond the first bite at the plastic.
With everything put back together, you almost can't see the hitch, which is exactly the look that I wanted.
I've got a great-looking (almost invisible) hitch for a great price and a couple hours of work, and I know that the work was done properly.

Wow the install looks great Pierre! Less than 2 hours too, that is awesome! What would you say was the most difficult part of the install? And what do you plan on using the hitch for?
Perfect fit on 2022 Honda Odyssey. Product arrived quickly. ETrailer website installation videos are very helpful. Better than reading through pages of instructions. This was the second hitch I purchased from ETrailer. I'm very satisfied.
If you’re not afraid to cut the facia get this one. It looks great and is worth the effort.

Cutting your car can be a little daunting for some people Dustin. Measure twice, and start by cutting small, can always go bigger. You are right, hitch does look great! What do you plan on mainly using it for?

Step 10 with the black and white, not very clear picture to show the cut off for 5.5” x 3.5” doesn’t say exactly which center part to cut off…center where the 90 degree of bumper is or button edge of center bumper or middle of the center bumper!!! I guess the video that came with the instructions should show!
Best if this picture is replaced by a simple 3D CAD or 2D drawing!

Very solid hitch. Removing the bumper for installation seems daunting, but it was actually quite straightforward and took me less than 2 hours to complete solo (would have been even easier with a second set of hands). Sidenote, the instructions say to cut the driver's side underbody trim panel, but I found this to be unnecessary as there is plenty of clearance for the hitch without doing so.
Main reason for docking 1 star is that the shipping box is terrible. Mine came badly torn which allowed the powder coating on the hitch to be chipped/damaged in several spots during transit. Not sure why they don't add any padding to the box to prevent this, as several other reviewers mention the same problem. I live in the rust belt so I had to touch up these spots with spray paint to prevent immediate corrosion. Thankfully etrailer's excellent customer service was able to work with me on this.
I like that this hitch is basically invisible, and that the receiver tube is inset about 2" from the face of the bumper so that it is never in the way. However, this may be a double-edged sword as I found that neither of the ball mounts I own will work with this hitch because of insufficient clearance to the bumper--I see now why they suggest an "extra long" ball mount with a 10" shank for this hitch. This could be a problem for some accessories like bike carriers; mine works but YMMV.
This is our third trailer hitch purchase from etrailer, and they’ve all been great and easy to install (Chrysler Pacifica, Subaru Crosstrek, and Honda Odyssey). This hidden hitch for my Odyssey is by far my favorite. It looks so sleek with the hidden bar and install wasn’t any more labor intensive than installing the others. No buyers remorse here!

The hitch is great. I like how the structure tucks behind the fascia so that just the hitch shows, and I believe this also provides additional clearance from the ground. If you are just a little mechanically inclined, and have the right tools, install is very straightforward and easy. Only took me about an hour.
Exceptionally well made and it fits perfectly. No hassle whatsoever installing with all holes lining up and a simple trim of the bumper. Love the way it is concealed behind the bumper with only the receiver showing. Looks great. eTrailer really came through with a great price and super fast delivery!! Thanks.

Had the hitch installed and in-use for a year. Works as great as day 1, love how hidden it is.
Arrived on time and installed easy on a 2108 Honda Odyssey
Installation videos matched up exactly to my vehicle. Made for an easy install. Would’ve been five stars except for shipping and handling. Item arrived really quick, but hitch was hanging out multiple sides of the box and was banged up pretty good. However, since this hitch is 95% hidden behind the bumper facia, this did not from impact installation or utilization.

Has potential for 5 stars lost a star for poor instructions. Included instructions were crumpled and torn but black and white photos were what made process the most difficult. The box it came in was nice to lay on during Install. The etrailer video was helpful.

This is awesome, seriously. Big props to you for getting that done solo. Those hitches are no joke to maneuver by yourself, so the bucket and jack setup was a really smart move. It’s actually pretty common to have to clean out those threads first, road grime loves to build up in there over time. And your UPS comment is spot on, those things are heavy. Funny enough, they have motorized carts in the warehouse now to move them around, but when I first started, we were dragging them on rolling carts and you definitely felt it by the end of the day. Your hitch install really does look great! What are you going to use it for? bike rack?
