Question:

Would the malone dual hitch adapter work well to connect my 5 bike rack to the: Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch - 76170 on my 2018 Honda Odyssey? On my older Odyssey, I found the rack scraping the ground often and wanted to raise it. Thanks!

The Malone Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver, part # MPG544 will work as a rise for your hitch. However, you'll reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50%, dropping your total capacity from 525 pounds with the Curt Class III, part # C64NR down to 262 pounds.

This may also increase the amount of ground contact you experience, as there is some length added to the rear of the vehicle with this extension.

You'll want to be conscious of the weight of the individual bikes and the weight of your carrier so you don't exceed the hitch's tongue weight capacity.
