Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. Connector plugs directly into existing wiring. Powered converter reduces strain on wiring system and is made using SMT to ensure superior performance.

Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side interior trim panel in your rear cargo area. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, insert the included 10-amp fuse into the integrated fuse holder. Then install the 30-amp cartridge fuse and two 7.5-amp mini fuses in the rear fuse panel.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A tail light converter is built into this T-connector. This converter is a circuit-protected, battery-powered unit that bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness. As a result, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of the trailer. This converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
Curt builds each tail light converter using surface-mount technology (SMT). This method of construction involves soldering electronic components directly to the surface of a printed circuit board. SMT eliminates the need for leads, which are used in older through-hole technology. The result is a circuit board that is smaller yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability and durability.
Circuit boards constructed using SMT have been shown to perform better under rough conditions with excessive vibration than those made using the through-hole method. And where would vibration be more likely to occur than in towing applications? Curt converters also produce less heat, leading to increased durability and longer life. In addition, lower levels of resistance ensure better performance, especially for parts that operate at higher frequencies.

Pretty easy install on our 2020 Honda Odyssey. I did need my son's help to hold the plastic panel back and out of the way so I could reach through and do the hookups and tighten things down. Otherwise it is a one-person job. I would recommend getting the 4-flat tester with this unit, unless you have a trailer already on hand to hook up and test if everything is working.

Easy installation, great product. My only suggestion in the how-to video would be to show removal of both exhaust brackets! Otherwise, install took roughly 3 hours, no problems!
Poor documentation on IN WHAT SCENARIOS I would use the various fuses, etc. and, of course the install sheet says place the fuses in 13, 14, etc. BUYER BWEARE that you need the schematic for your vehicle from the owners manual before you can understand what each of those fuses control.
Plugged into factory setup. Clear instructions. Easy to install. Wish the trailer wires were a foot long but the included setup should work fine.
I watched the video for installation prior to starting and it covered all the details needed for a successful installation. The video even provided some times on how to handle the smaller parts. I would add that the video was much better than the paper instructions that come with the wiring harness. Time to complete was very short and you do not need to be a mechanic to complete the installation.
Everything I needed was included and all the connectors and fuses were right. The video was very helpful. The photos in the paper instructions were too dark and the instructions only specified fuse locations but the locations aren’t numbered on my vehicle. Skip the instructions and watch the video.
Works perfectly on my 2025 Honda Odyssey; installation is basically plug-and-play.
Some minor room for improvement:
- The included 30amp fuse is not a low profile fuse like the others in the fuse box. I was concerned it was going to prevent the access panel from closing, but it just barely clears.
- It would have been helpful if the kit came with a bolt or self-tapping screw for the ground wire.
- Instructions say to unscrew the rear cargo hook and remove the trim panel. This only seems necessary if you plan on routing the 4-pin harness outside permanently. Otherwise, you can get to everything you need for installation through the little access panel. Then you simply route the 4-pin harness out the liftgate when you need it. The video instructions are much better in this regard. That said I do wish the 4-pin harness was about a foot longer for easier routing.

Nice that vehicle manufacturers pre-install the wiring for add on trailer wiring harnesses. Nice simple installation, didn't even need to get under the van.

One plug, one ground screw and push several fuses in. Couldn’t be simpler. The diagram of fuse box could be more representative of actual box.
It all fit my 2025 Odyssey but the 4plug connector to the trailer barely came out the underside of the van. I will have to extend it or extend the trailer harness

No issues
Total installation was about 3o minutes and works perfectly. Great instructions made it quite simple. Far cheaper than having it done. Recommend getting a traier test light plug.
