What Size Bolts Does The Curt Class 3 Hitch C64NR For 2019 Honda Odyssey Use?

Question:

2019 honda odyssey curt trailer hitch. I want to purchase and install a trailer hitch on my 2019 odyssey. The treads are a little gunked up from rust. Do you know the tap and die size for the welded not?

Hello Aries, thanks for reaching out. I know what you mean about the holes being gunked up because this happens all the time when we install hitches. The first think I would try is taking a wire brush and a bit of rust remover like PB blaster. Try to use the wire brush to pull the rust out of the threads and this can take a good bit of rinse and repeat. Putting the wire brush on a cordless drill can make it a lot easier.

If that doesn't work, or you want to go straight to the tap, the Curt Class 3 Hitch # C64NR for the 2019 Honda Odyssey uses 1/2" M12 bolts.
