If it was not for etrailer, I would not have the hitch installed in a expedient manner. [towing company] could not come through with a installation or a hitch. Very grateful etrailer and my hitch in stock

This part came with the trailer hitch I purchased.

It was very easy to transfer the ball from my 2" hitch and voila I am now ready to haul my trailer.

am extremely satisfied with the products I purchased. I use theTow Hitch almost daily for my bicycle rack and a trailer I have to tow. The installation was a quick and easy. I have recommended your website to about 20-25 people over the past year. Hopefully you received some business from my recommendations. Thanks for following up. Not all companies take the time.
Jim F - 07/01/2015

The product is great quality and perfect fit. I just dont like that the pin hits the rings on the hitch because it is loose enough to move around while driving. Other than that this is great.

Exactly as described, fit perfect. Seen here with ball and receiver.

I was completely satisfied and very impressed thoughout my first experience with The website provided exactly the educational material I need to correctly order the products. My order was unexpectedly upgraded for faster shipment, at no cost. The only glitch was the pin and clip were missing. After calling customer service they gave me several options. I bought the pin locally and promptly credit my account for my cost. I'm glad I found and heartily recommend them!

Not very happy with getting a used or returned ball mount from, should not have any rust or dents when I buy a new one. Sending a mail to customer service for a RA#, hopefully they will correct this problem. The wiring harness I order was the other item I ordered and it was in good shape. My experience with them has been up to this point excellent.

I've only technically used it once but drove with it for over 5,000 miles so I'd say that says something! I used it with my Prius to help tow a nine foot Uhaul trailer with my motorcycle and a bunch of other stuff from my apartment from Tennessee to Massachusetts. Quality product!

The [online] video of the install made the installation straight forward and simple. The products are as expected.

it's solid and well built - install was straightforward.

I bought this hitch a year ago,put it on my Mitsubishi marage I pull 14' alumun boats with it works great love it,and it was easy to in stall

I will be replacing the hitch pin with one that has a hole for the cotter pin.

Very well built fits the hitch I purchased I will be using it often to pull my trailer with my 12' jon boat to go fishing.

Package arrived on time, in less than 2 hours from when it was delivered to being completely done, wiring and all. This was the first time I have done this, not a big challenge!

I needed a hitch receiver for a 2016 kia soul i am using for the time being to pull a small trailer and for my bike rack. My 15 year old son helped me install it no problem and it works great. Saved me a bunch of money!

I'm impressed! You promised my order would be here on Friday. It arrived a day early! Watching the video about installing the hitch said installation time was 40 minutes. I had it installed in exactly 40 minutes. That included the time it took me to search for the tool that I just had in my hand 30 seconds ago. Came inside and watched the video on installing the wiring harness then installed it without a hitch (pun intended)... The whole job took exactly 2 hours. I rarely have a job go that smoothly! Again, I'm impressed. Thank you so much!

The best way to order the drawbar is to get it from the same source as the hitch of the car. Some drawbars are the right size but may have the wrong safety pin diameter!

Delivered in factory condition. Exactly as described.

A year later and it is still working great. Install was easy.

Easy install

Good quality. Galvanized pain is pretty rusty after one year thiugh.

Works great on the Corolla

Good Product. I am a guy that likes a challenge although this wasen't much of one.. easy instructions, straight forward application and tools this was a fun project. my best advice would be if you're putting together a project of sorts make sure you speak to a rep before you order, that way all the parts you order work well together..

I am happy with all of the items I have ordered from Moreover, I am extremely happy and impressed with the service. Not only was everyone at etrailer responsive but even better- they proactively reached out to me to confirm my satisfaction and even asked me if I wanted to change my order after noting that two parts I ordered would not fit together well. In this era of online ordering they have set the bar so that I wish the would branch out so I could order more from them.

Product is as expected and appears well made.

Sending you a pic of my lights I got from you and the hitch with the full wiring system. All works great. Thank you so much. Now it's time to go riding!!

Ask the Experts about this Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Ball Mount

  • Install 3593 draw bar in the up or down position on a 2005 Honda Element
The orientation your Class I Drawbar, part 3593 will depend on the height of the trailer coupler. With the trailer level, measure from the coupler down to the ground. This is the approximate height you'll need the trailer ball to be. You'll want to install the drawbar so that the trailer ball is as close to this height as possible. Due to the fairly low bumper height of the Element, you'll probably need to install it in the 'up' position.

  • Why Can't Class II Accessories Be Used with Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver
Both Class I and Class II trailer hitches have the same 1-1/4 inch receiever opening, however a Class II hitch will have higher towing and tongue weight capacities. The primary issue with using a Class II accessory in a Class I hitch is that many Class I hitch receivers actually have a built-in tab/stopper inside the receiver that physically prevent a Class II accessory from fitting. Trailer hitch manufacturers do this in order to keep a Class I hitch from being overloaded, since a Class...

  • How to Pick Out the Correct Ball Mount for 2015 Honda Civic
The best way to determine which amount of rise or drop you need from a ball mount (in order to keep your hitched trailer level for the best handling) is to measure as outlined in the linked article. Since the same wheel size could have more than one tire size on it that does not give you the best method for choosing a ball mount. • Is There a Standard Required Clearance for Ball Mount to Vehicle Bumper
There really isn't a specific range for what you are asking about. You basically want the trailer to be able to move as you turn without interfering with the vehicle bumper. Normally that's not an issue and what people end up more concerned with is the correct rise drop. Having the hitch opening recessed 3 inches is pretty standard for towing applications. Ball mounts typically stick out around 9 inches or so which gives the trailer plenty of clearance to pivot around.

The Draw-Tite Class I trailer hitch, part # 24899 is indeed compatible with your 2016 Honda Accord Touring model with dual exhaust. Minor modifications will be necessary to install the hitch. • My Draw Bar Will Not Fit All the Way Inside My Draw-Tite Hitch 24812 on my Pontiac Vibe
The stop inside the hitch is not to force customers to purchase certain brand products, but to ensure that a Class II draw bar is not inserted into a Class I hitch. The Draw-Tite hitch you have, part # 24812, is a Class I hitch so if the welded stop inside is preventing the draw bar from going all the way in, you have a Class II drawbar. The recommended draw bar for this particular hitch is part # 3593. This draw bar will fit your hitch and will be at the proper height for trailers that...

  • Trailer is not Level When Towing with Recommended Drawbar
The instructions (see link below) state that the drawbar must be used in the rise position only, for your Pontiac Vibe. Drawbar 3593 has a rise of 2-1/8 inches, and only the drawbar recommended for a Class I hitch should be used. The manufacturer tests for crash safety on Class I and Class II hitches and their recommendation should be followed. If your drawbar is in the correct position and the trailer is still not level you may need to haul that particular trailer with another vehicle....

  • The Correct Drawbar for a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta with a Class I Hitch
For your 2003 VW Jetta, the drawbar, # 36051, will not work because Class II accessories are designed with a feature that keeps them from being used in a lower class hitch. So you will need to use the Sportframe Drawbar, # 3593, instead. I pulled all the recommended hitches for your vehicle and this is the drawbar that is recommended as the proper fit for those hitches. There is not, necessarily, a recommended length. The limiting factor is the gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacity....

  • What Draw Bar Fits Draw-Tite Class I Hitch Part # 24812
The Draw-Tite Class I hitch you were looking at, part # 24812 uses a 1-1/4 inch receiver. A class I hitch usually has a stop welded into the receiver tube or a detent punched into it to prevent a class II accessory from being used. If the draw bars you have were intended to be used in a class I hitch, they will work. Keep in mind, Draw-Tite recommends only using the part # 3593 draw bar. If the draw bars that you have measure any longer than 1-1/2 inches from the center of the pin hole...
