Question:
I have a 2012 Ranger Bass Boat Trailer boat Z521C with dual axle Dexter disc brakes w/reverse lockout and 2” ball hitch. It is a swing tongue trailer. I have a brake fluid leak somewhere in the actuator/fluid reservoir area. I’d like to replace the entire assembly/frame. I do not have the 4-hole bolt on ‘frame’…mine needs the assembly which ‘slides in’ to the Ranger Trailer frame and is apparently held in place by the two pins with the external ‘snap’ rings…. Can you assist me with what I need. I thought the ‘Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w/electric lockout 2” ball” looked correct,…can I remove that 4-hole bolt on ‘frame’?

Hey Ralph! Yes, you can remove the housing from the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w Electric Lockout # DX56FR and swap out the inner member with what you currently have on the trailer. This uses the Replacement Inner Member # DX99FR but for whatever reason the inner member itself costs more than the complete assembly. Might as well save some money and remove the housing, it is the same part inside.
Any big trips coming up with your boat this spring?
