Question:
Looking for a simple plug in wiring for 2021 Chevy Colorado Z71 with an unpowered converter module. We will only be towing very basic small utility trailer and hubs doesnt want to have to wire to the battery. Is there anything available?

Hey Debra, thanks for reaching out!
To install wiring on your 2021 Colorado you'll need the 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets w/ Mounting Bracket and Wiring # HM40975-11998. Since your truck didn't come with a factory connector on it, you'll need to hardwire the pigtail that comes with this wiring kit to the existing wiring on your vehicle.
Our video team actually did this exact installation on a 2021 Colorado so I'm attaching that video to this page for your reference.
There aren't any plug and play styles, but this Hopkins kit is the next best thing. Are you planning on installing this on your own, or having a shop do it for you?

Thank you. Hubs doesn't want to do it on his own so we will probably take it to a shop. Thank you for confirming.
