Question:
Attached are photo's of what is hanging from the rear of my Tacoma. The photo of the wire harness connections shows a large connector and a small onnector; the large one is what goes to the 7 pin connector hanging under the rear of the Tacoma, the previous owner must have gone four wheeling and broke off the mount.

When you say part of the trailer connector was broken off, do you still have the plug that attaches to the back of the trailer connector? This removable plug is called a US car connector and can be seen in the attached photo. If you have this plug still then you can use the Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness part # 74682 but if you do not then you will need to use the 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets part # HM40975-11998.
In order to mount either of the trailer connectors to the trailer hitch you will also need to use the No-Drill Bracket for 6-Way or 7-Way Round Trailer Connector part # C57202. I have attached sample install videos for you as well.
