The 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets w/ Mounting Bracket and Wiring # HM40975-11998 is a hard wire application, as you can see in the linked installation video we made of this being put on a 2008 Ford F-250.
If you only need to connect the plug, which is 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975, that is a direct replacement for many different years, makes and models of Ford trucks with a factory 7-way; for example it is a fit for a 2018 Ford F-150.
If you let me know the year and model of your Ford truck and if it has the factory 7-way I can find what you need.
