Have a 2021 Chevy Colorado and want to add a hitch. Is there a special harness I can get to plug into trucks wiring?

There sure is Barry. To add a hitch to your 2021 Chevy Colorado, I recommend the etrailer item # e98909. This class III hitch with a 2" receiver is custom fit and comes will all hardware necessary to complete the installation. It has a 8,000 lbs towing capacity and a maximum tongue weight of 800 lbs.

To add a wiring harness, you'll want the 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets w/ Mounting Bracket and Wiring item # HM40975-11998. This connector plugs directly into your Colorado's factory wiring behind the rear bumper. It will provide you with both a 7-way and 4-way connector identical to the ones that come from the factory.

I've linked a couple of installation videos below so you can see how to get these parts installed.

What kind of trailer are you planning on pulling?

@BarryS You're welcome happy to help! Looking forward to you coming back. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to reach out. I was asking what kind of trailer you had to see if you were also going to need a brake controller along with that 7-Way/4-Way.
