Wiring a trailer doesn’t have to mean cutting into factory wires. This Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector plugs directly into existing tail light wiring for a clean, factory-style connection. It’s built for vehicles without a tow package and provides a reliable 4-flat trailer output for running lights, turn signals, and brake lights.
The harness installs from inside the vehicle and connects behind the tail lights, so you don’t need to run wires under the vehicle or through tight spaces. When you’re ready to tow, you simply pull the 4-flat connector from the cargo area and route it out to the trailer. When you’re done, it stores neatly back inside, protected from dirt and moisture.
The included powered converter keeps your trailer lights operating smoothly without overloading your vehicle’s electrical system. It supports up to one stop/turn light per side at 2.1 amps each and up to 5 amps total for tail lights. A solid ground connection on clean bare metal ensures consistent performance and helps prevent flickering or signal loss.
Starting with this 4-way setup gives you flexibility to expand later. If you add trailer brakes or need a 12V charge line, you can easily upgrade by pairing it with adapters like part #37185 or #ETBC7. Receiver and wiring installed well, instructions clear. Paint on receiver chipped, did not fair well in shipping box. When installing ball mount I can see it's not level with the ground, just a little. I'm happy with receiver, just can not give a excellent review.
Best hitch for my Suzuki Grand Vitara
Easy to install and 'cut' a lot of corners by not needing to splice wires, no pun intended! Works great for my utility trailer lights for my Suzuki Grand Vitara V6, as storage in the vehicle is not always adequate.
The wire harness sent was not the right one for my car, but we made it work. This was not really your fault. In 2010, Suzuki was getting ready to leave the US market and there were about 4 different models of the SX-4 all of which looked the same. The trailer hitch itself was OK.
Product arrived in a few days, bought the Curt hitch, like the idea of three bolts each side versus two. Super easy install on my Vitara, removed tow hook, cleaned bolt holes, chassis was already clean, lifted in place with buddy, some blue loctite and a torch wrench. Beer-thirty was started

Prefect fit for my Kuat Pivot and NV 2.0
I hooked up this harness as the plugs were correct and found I had no turn signals. Luckily I am a mechanic and was able to identify the correct terminals and repin the connectors so it would work.

It is very unusual for that to have happened. This would be covered under the warranty for the harness.
Just installed on my 2007 SX4. All went as was explained in instructions and was an easy install. The 4 push pins in the floor that hold the side panels in broke when I removed them. They were 7 years old and brittle so no reflection on the product. It would have been nice if 4 new ones were included in the kit. Overall I am pleased with the product and e trailer.

Unfortunately the trailer hitch lasted longer than the car I installed it on. The hitch worked well for the time I used it.
Very quick delivery. Seemed to be fairly well packaged. One concern, the driver's side flange that attaches to frame is slightly bent - hopefully intended for a proper fit and hopefully not damaged during shipment. I'll know when I install. I really like Curt hitches and found the best price at etrailer.com.
