The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12002 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara. This is a Class II trailer hitch that will provide a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening and a 3,500 pound towing capacity. I also recommend checking the towing capacity of your vehicle as listed in the owner's manual. I have attached the installation details for your review.
Please note that Curt requires all non-trailer loads such as bike racks and cargo carriers to be supported with stabilizing straps like # 18050.
The ball mount/drawbar you choose will be dependent on a couple of things. First, when looking at drawbars with a built in hitch ball, such as the Curt Class II # C45552 with 2 inch ball or C45551 with 1-7/8 inch ball that you referenced, you will need to know what hitch ball size the coupler on your trailer will accept. This information will be printed on the coupler itself. You will simply choose the corresponding hitch ball size.
Then you will need to know what rise or drop is needed on the ball mount in order to tow your trailer level. I have attached an article that explains what you will need to measure on your vehicle and trailer. Both of the above mentioned drawbars feature a 2-3/4 inch rise. I have also attached a link that will take you to our available selection of ball mounts that you can look through.
In order to tow a trailer, you will also need to install a connector to power your trailer's signal lights such as the Curt # 56002. This custom harness will plug into existing ports located behind the trim panels in the cargo area on the driver and passenger side of your Grand Vitara. I have included the installation details.
