This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you a solid foundation for towing small campers, boats, or utility trailers. With a Class III rating, it handles up to 3,500 lbs of gross trailer weight and 350 lbs of tongue weight. When used with weight distribution, that goes up to 4,000 lbs GTW and 400 lbs TW. The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with most common towing accessories and cargo carriers, so it’s ready for whatever you need to haul.
You won’t need a welding setup or custom tools to get this hitch installed. The fully welded frame mounts directly to factory attachment points using the included hardware kit. There’s no cutting or drilling required, which makes it a straightforward DIY project in your garage or driveway. The precision robotic welding ensures everything lines up cleanly and fits just like it should.
The square-tube steel design keeps things strong and steady when you’re towing or carrying gear. A gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat adds superior rust resistance, so you don’t have to worry about corrosion from road salt or weather exposure. It’s a durable setup built for regular use in all kinds of conditions.
You can pair this hitch with ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo baskets without the need for adapters. Whether you’re hitting the trail with bikes, hauling camping gear, or pulling a small trailer, this setup gives you reliable strength for everyday adventures. Ball mount, pin and clip are sold separately so you can choose what best fits your needs.

Did you have the hatch mounted spare tire? If you did. Did you have to trim the lower bumper fascia or does it miss it?No trimming required is what I was told by the etrailer people but please let me know?
