Nothing ruins a tow faster than a trailer that starts dancing around when a semi passes or the wind picks up. The Curt TruTrack 2P has built-in 2-point sway control that uses steel-on-steel friction at specific tension points to keep the trailer steady and in line. The brackets hold the trunnion-style spring bars tight, resisting side-to-side motion and keeping the tow feeling solid instead of sloppy. Drivers notice right away how much calmer the rig feels—less push, less bounce, and far more control.
By transferring tongue weight evenly across all axles of the vehicle-trailer combination, this system creates a more balanced, level ride. The forged-steel spring bars apply leverage to even out the load, improving steering and braking response. With an 800 lb – 1,000 lb tongue weight range and up to 10,000 lb maximum gross towing weight, it’s built for solid mid-to-heavy trailer setups. The result is a smoother ride and confident control over long hauls or mountain grades.
Older hitches require stacking washers and wrestling with loose chains to get the tilt right. The TruTrack 2P skips all that. Its system-head pivot lets you fine-tune tilt without extra parts, and the no-chain design eliminates bar rattle and unwanted movement. Clamp-on sway-control brackets mount directly to the trailer frame—no drilling—and everything locks in place with easy-use snap pins. That means less time fiddling and more time towing.
This hitch is made from forged steel and finished in a black carbide powder coat for long-term corrosion resistance. The included 2-5/16" hitch ball, 2" × 2" adjustable shank, spring bars, sway-control brackets, and all necessary hardware come together into one complete system. You can even back up without disconnecting—handy for tight campgrounds or angled driveways. With holes spaced 1-1/4" on center and up to 6" of rise or 1/2" drop, it’s flexible enough to dial in the perfect height for a level, stable setup.

I installed this unit and used it to tow a 25' Airstream with a new Land Rover Defender 110. It was easy to install and worked perfect (I had to install the hitch ball, which requires a high rated torque wrench). The difference in the drive was immediately noticeable, and I drove all through the mountains this weekend with more confidence than ever. I highly recommend.
The best weight distribution hitch that I have ever purchased. Very easy to mount. No worries about backing up. I have pulled the enclosed trailer in very windy condition’s and trailer had just slightly movement. Highly recommend.
Bought this hitch to tow my camper with my new 1/2 ton truck. Hitch was a little hard to get adjusted, but that could be i had never done it before. After watching several videos i got it close. I dont think it's perfect, but does its job. Only made 1 trip using it, but it was a 900 mile round trip. Didn't have any problems with sway, and hitch is very quiet when turning. Overall very good purchase hopefully get to use it more in the future.
It was disappointing to me that I needed to purchase a WDH for my 21 F150 in the first place. Thanks Ford! I already had another WDH for our travel trailer so I was familiar with these already. Thi hitch was for my boat trailer which weighs in at about 8000lbs when loaded. It was a 6 hour trip to Lake Powell from our home near SLC. Hitch performed flawlessly and I couldn't be happier with what I purchased. Still upset that I had to purchase one in the first place, but happy nonetheless.

The hitch has worked great for our toy hauler. I’ve never experienced a failure nor has it been noisy. Setup is a bit tricky to those not having experience with adjustable hitches. The adjustment is nice but can be confusing at first time set up. The bars are easy to latch and create amazing stability on the road, I never feel the trailer behind me even on windy trips. Be sure to double check measurements and torque specs and this hitch will serve you great
Been using this system for a year, it works perfect and keeps me steady. I love it, best decision I made to purchase this system.
Doing the installation and setup, then I will give a review after towing my 7000 lb toy hauler. The box came a bit torn, but all of the components and hardware was included. I really like etrailer.com for their fast response anytime that I order from them.
The hitch itself seems well made and should work fine. The directions were an embarrassment to Curt and etrailer. There were no instructions on how to make the different adjustments needed to set up a WDH. The instructions were downright wrong in several areas (talked about WD chains - there are no chains in this design) (Talked about washers to set ball angle - no washers in this design). Clearly translated by someone who does know what a hitch is. No torque values for the important bolts. I know this is a low-cost hitch but a high-quality business like etrailer ought to reconsider carrying this product.

Based on your review I believe that you may have received the incorrect manual with the Curt weight distribution. I am sending an email with a link to the manual.
Easy to order & fast delivery. When ever I need to get for the trailer I go to etrailer.
This definitely helped my truck with the weight on it.

It's been a year since I bought my Curt Trutrack 2P weight distribution system with swaycontrol and 7 hole shank 10K GTW 1K TW and it has been great. It pulls my 31ft camper with ease. No regrets in buying it.
I have used it three times over the past year and it was flawless. Great stability and no sway. It took about 45min adjusting it to get my set up right, could probably do a bit more but I'm happy with the set up. I use it on my 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport w/tow package to pull 2018 Keystone Bullet 1900RD, dry weight 3,400 and 4,700 loaded.
Everything’s fit perfect I will leave a follow-up in two weeks getting back for trip.
This feels extremely sturdy and weighs a significant amount. So far the only time I have used it was a short distance and nothing came loose.
Just installed today; etrailer shipped promptly but there were carrier delays. Despite poor review comments, we felt the packaging was excellent with custom foam and box reinforcements. Ours arrived with minimal damage to the box and no damage to the contents. Maybe they changed their packaging but we were pleased. Not our first hitch installation, it went together well, about three hours, instructions were written as though you already know how to install such a hitch; I can see how some people may struggle. Biggest complaint is the lack of detail on “adjustments”; you’re told to basically adjust for your rig but no detail on what adjustment delivers what result. We spent more time fiddling with adjustments only to discover that the baseline starting points were -roughly- the best. Pleased for now, would absolutely buy it again, look forward to our one-year review after we actually road test it.
Works great on my Colorado pulling 5klb trailer
Received the hitch very quickly and installed today - overall pretty straight forward although the instructions in the box had been superseded by a revision that happily was the one you have on your website with the product - I had downloaded them to read ahead on how to install while I was waiting for the product to arrive. Although very similar, the revised instructions had the torque requirements for various fasteners that were not in the instructions that came with it. Also, the hitch sits further back than a typical 2” shank and my safety chains were to short so I had to order longer ones….from etrailer of course!
Solidly built. Videos on web site were very helpful for installation. Allow 2-3 hours to do it right. The ball calls for 450-ft lbs of tightening, which is next to impossible, but I got a local diesel garage to tighten it for me for free.
Seems to work well for weight distribution on my 24’ car hauler with total weight about 8k. Had to buy an extra $200 drop receiver for the hitch to work with my ‘24 Sequoia, so the overall cost was no bargain. Relatively easy to install and remove. I don’t have much sway with this unit, but don’t know how much I would have without it. 4 stars instead of 5 since the included drop receiver didn’t work.
Went together easily. The drop hitch didn’t go low enough for my vehicle. Have to order a different one. Look good and strong

The Curt TruTrack 2P Weight Distribution System w Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank - 10K GTW, 1K TW has been the perfect set up for hauling my camper trailer and the customer servicer I received at eTrailer.com was fantastic!!
After a year of use, we are very pleased with this product. It has helped tremendously when traveling with strong crosswinds. Once properly adjusted to our trailer (Forest River 23MKBL), it has made towing very comfortable. It’s easy to hookup and unhook. We have noticed the weight distribution bar L-pins are subject to high stress in serious crosswinds and may need to be replaced, which shows they do the job expected. Overall, we definitely recommend this weight distribution system for the stated GTW and TW.
