Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the K-Source replacement side mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for your driver's side factory mirror on your 2006, through 2012 Ford Ranger. It's going to be modeled after the Ford Rangers original look and fit. So you're really not going to be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror.
It's going to look like it came with your vehicle from the factory. As you can see, I've got the cover removed for now, it does come removed so that you can paint this to match your vehicle color. If you like, once you're done painting it, or if you want to leave it in the black glossy, look that it's got here, you can simply slide it in and it will click into place. Once you have that in installed, it is going to be pretty difficult to remove.That's why I don't have mine installed at the moment. Your mirror is going to have the power remote capability, so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle.
It is an OE grade. So it's going to be the same quality as the mirror that came with your vehicle from the factory. Front of the glass has, is reflective chrome plating. So it's going to give you a nice, clear image so you can see what's coming up behind you. And it's also got a flat lens.
So it's going to represent the true orientation of the objects and everything. So you're not going to have to worry about any sort of warping. It does feature the breakaway design, like most mirrors these days. So it's going to fold up and if you hit a garage door or something like that, it's going to try and help reduce the damage to the mirror. It's made of a durable plastic housing with a textured black finish.As far as the installation, it's going to be very easy to install.
It's going to mount in the same points as your factory mirror, and you have your plug here to plug into that power remote capability. So it's going to basically, you're going to take the old one off and put this one on and it'll be ready to go. It does only come with for one driver's side mirror. So if you need a passenger side mirror, you will have to purchase that separately. It does have a 90 day warranty from K-Source.
