Question:
I will be buying a weight distribution soon. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 and a 2022 Coachman Catalina Legacy 303QBCK. Can you help me find the frame height so that I purchase the correct setup?

Hi Jen; we don't have a way of knowing how tall the frame is on your 2022 Coachmen Catalina Legacy 303QBCK. More than likely it isn't too tall for the standard brackets on a weight distribution hitch (WDH). If you measure it and find it is taller than 6" there are different options to get around unusually tall frames so that still won't be an issue, just let me know.
The correct WDH depends on the tongue weight of your setup. Looking at your trailer it has a dry tongue weight of 856 lbs. By the time you add propane and batteries, plus anything you load in the trailer, you're already pushing or exceeding the limits of a hitch like the Curt # C69JR and Fastway # FA94-00-1000 you were looking at.
Based on the trailer specs I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Trunnion # FA92-00-1200. This system is rated for a tongue weight range of 800 lbs - 1,200 lbs which is more appropriate for your setup. It also has trunnion bars which is nice for the extra clearance. You will need # A-90 for a 2" ball or # C40030 for a 2-5/16" ball, along with # ALL643216 for hitch ball installation.
Any big trips planned once you get your WDH installed?
