When the bed’s full or the trailer’s hooked up, rear-end sag can throw off steering, braking, and headlight aim. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep things level. By sharing the weight across all four wheels, these heavy-duty air bags reduce strain on your factory suspension and keep your ride comfortable and safe when hauling serious weight.
Every load rides a little different, and that’s where the adjustability comes in. With air pressure adjustable from 5 psi up to 100 psi, you can fine-tune your setup for whatever you’re hauling. Pump them up for a loaded trailer or drop down for daily driving comfort. Each spring can be inflated independently for side-to-side leveling, making it easy to compensate for uneven loads or off-center cargo.
These aren’t your basic air bags. The LoadLifter 5000 uses 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber for strength and durability under heavy use. The endcaps are made from high-strength Zytel nylon—lighter than steel but more corrosion resistant—so they won’t rust out over time. Air Lift’s exclusive roll plates protect each spring and increase load capacity while guarding against road debris or damage during long hauls.
You don’t need a lift or a custom shop to get these installed. The kit includes mounting brackets, hardware, air lines, and manual inflation valves that typically mount on the bumper for easy access. Just bolt them up, inflate through the valves, and you’re set. If you ever want more control from inside the cab, you can add an onboard compressor system later—no need to replace the springs you already installed.

These are really Great! Took our mechanic 2 hours to install, we didn't do it ourselves, wanted to make sure they were installed correctly. Did not change the ride of our new truck one bit. Easy to fill with air, and made our trailer nice and level with the truck, no sagging. It was a perfect fit! The price was great too!!
I am impressed with the engineering of this product and the clear installation instructions. It took me 4 hours to install taking my time and never doing it before. At 5 psi the truck is at factory ride height. This will be a game changer for pulling bigger trailers.

Not easy to install laying on your back under the truck… It works but not a lot of room to get the bolts started for the top of the air bag.
Easy install on my 24' F-150
Game changer, is all I can say. I’m 67 years old and have towed everything from motorcycle trailers, snowmobile trailers, toy haulers, boats and travel trailers. I currently tow a 26’ Keystone Cougar travel trailer that weighs approximately 6800lbs. My tow vehicle is a 2021 Ford F150 powered by a V8.
Once the camper is loaded I install the sway bars and inflate the loadLifter to between 70 - 80 psi depending on payload weight. Once inflated to proper psi the LoadLifter returns the vehicle and suspension to the non-loaded height, this allows the breaking system and steering to function properly. It also helps stiffen the suspension and drastically reduces trailer sway to a minimum.
I’ll never have another tow vehicle without LoadLifters!!!
It seems like the design was not re-engineered for the current (2023) model ford f150. The directions for brackets for brake lines and wire harness are not the same as in the instructions. Also the I bolt on the drivers side does not clear the brake line. I had to disconnect the brake line all along the groans to make it fit. Now the brake lines are not mounted the way they’re supposed to be. I hope I don’t have a problem with that.

Second time i have purchased these, two different trucks.Very satisfied with them
Work well on a leveled f150 when towing to eliminate squat. Ride when towing is very smooth. Ride unloaded was rough initially. Then I added the airlift cradles and that seemed to allow more suspension travel. Now the ride is just slightly firmer than stock ride when unloaded at 5 psi. I also have Bilstein 5100s in the rear. It seems to be a good combination
Excellent. Air Bag kit came in 2 days. Installed today on a 2022 Ford F150 Platinum 4X4 with rear axle mounted headlight leveling arm. Installed in a couple hours. Looks great and works excellent!
These helper springs work well. They were a little bit of a challenge to install, compared to the previous 2018 F-150 i installed these on, but definitely doable. The YouTube videos I found helped SO much!! The ordering process from e-trailer was great! Very knowledgeable people there and easy to work with. I even got a rebate on these, which was an added bonus!
Seems to be working well. If you watch video instructions on how to install you will find yours might not be covered. Several installs are different than the video and there parts. They don’t explain well on how they work or go together.
I installed these on my 2022 F150 pickup to add some lift when towing. They are not “easy” to install but with decent basic mechanical skills you should be able to do it. The online installation videos were very helpful. It took me about 6 hours to do the complete install as I took my time and was in no hurry. It has only been a few days but so far they seem to be a great product.

I have been using my Air Lift 5000 air bags for a year and I am very happy I purchased them. They provide the extra lift I need when towing and have performed flawlessly.
