Question:

I have a 2011 stealth Prowler 23 enclosed trailer. The tongue is very short. Center of the coupler to the where the front of the trailer body covers the top of the tongue frame is 16 and the center of the coupler to where access to the side of the tongue frame is 26 Are there any weight distribution hitches that would be compatible with this trailer configuration. The trailer is 7000 max weight. Normally it t will weigh about 4200 pounds. I tow with an 2022 F150. The trailer is right at the max tongue weight for the truck without a WDH. Sway is also a little bit of an issue depending on wind and road conditions. This primarily gets used in the winter.

I have a recommendation for you as the unique design and short length of your trailer tongue on your 2011 Stealth Prowler 23 enclosed trailer does not allow for a traditional weight distribution and sway hitch. You may be able to use the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System # BW78FR but as it is rated for trailers with a tongue weight of 600-1,600lbs with a trailer weight up to 16,000lbs it may be overkill for your truck and trailer.

I recommend installing the Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control # 335TSC-1000 on your trailer and the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL47PD on your 2022 Ford F-150. The Tuson will use the trailer brakes to reduce and prevent trailer sway while you can use the air bag helper springs to help reduce rear end sag on your truck. Best of all you can easily adjust the air pressure by using a Compressor System # AL74000 for the different amounts of tongue weight the trailer has when both loaded and empty.
