As always, EXCELLENT FAST shipping from etrailer. put this on 2011 silverado, for an aventon ebike and a regular bike, works great, no issues.
Awesome bike transport. I did not want a truck hitch type so this was a great easy option. Took less than 5 minutes to install and the bikes were certainly secure during transport.
Bit of a pain to lift bikes onto the tailgate but for someone who regularly transports 4-6 bikes from hone to the campsite, this thing is perfect. It claims you can do 8 bikes but it would be very difficult to get bike 7 and 8 into the truck.
If you need to live 6 bikes about this is the best solution I have found.

This tailgate mat works great, i have no issue with bikes moving while driving. I use it for several different frame sizes from med frame road bikes to large frame fat tires and an XL 29er. It holds them all without a problem. The soft material has caused no scratching to my tailgate and those who say it will dont wash their truck. Service and delivery from etrailer was quick and competitively priced as usual. I have recommended and would buy again.
Overall this is a great option for a quickly installed and secure way to haul bicycles in a pick-up truck. One thing I did not consider was the fact I had a tonneau cover on my 2016 Ford F-150 from Gator. The rails for the cover overlap into the bed of the truck an inch and a half, but the Thule tailgate pad is flexible enough to work under the rails to get the tailgate closed. Installation takes 10 minutes alone and 5 with help. Great product and great support from eTrailer.com!
