Specs:
The standard tread on these tires has solid, continuous ribs with very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. These tires are designed for use on trailers, so they don't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Rambler radials have double polyester cords and double steel belts. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Rambler ST 205/75R14 Load Range C Radial Trailer Tire. Now, this special trailer tire or ST tire, has sturdy sidewalls to handle heavy loads. This tire is created specifically for trailers, and it's not intended for use on other vehicles. This radial tire is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability and a long life. The nylon tread firming belt overlays are gonna help prevent tread separation, and the tread bars are going to give you a quick visual indicator of tread wear.
Now, as I stated at the beginning of our time together, and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST 205/75R14. This is going to fit 14-inch diameter wheels. This is a Load Range C, meaning it has a six-ply rating, and the maximum load is 1,760 pounds at 50 PSI, and this has a Speed Rating of M, indicating the maximum speed of 81 miles per hour. This tire does meet the Department of Transportation specifications, and it exceeds the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard specifications. But I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today.
I do hope that our brief time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
