Recommended A-Frame Jack With Drill Powered Option
Published 08/05/2024 >
Question:
Looking for a drill operated jack for an 8.5x20 enclosed trailer. The jack is an A frame. Trailer came with a top wind but I swapped in a side wind that I had to use the leg. I estimate 2-300 pounds tongue weight. I measured the tube on the current leg jack extended to about 14 inches plus the foot is sitting on 2 1/4 inches of wood block. That gave it the height to get it unhooked. Any recommendations?

Hi Todd,
I do have a drill-powered A-frame jack for your enclosed trailer that meets all of your needs, and what I recommend for you is the Lippert Quick Drop Tongue Jack # LC733926.
The # LC733926 just requires a 3/4" socket which you can use when the handle is in the stored position (which just means when the handle is down) so it's simple to use; it also has 2,000 lbs of capacity so it's more than strong enough for your trailer, and has an extended height of 23-1/2" so you won't have to use a wooden block anymore.

Looks like a great option. One more question. I see that most of these type jacks recommend against using an impact drill. Is that the case for this one? Thank you.
