Could Crank Handle of Lippert Quick Drop Tongue Jack # LC733926 Turn Due to Vibration

Updated 01/25/2019 | Published 01/24/2019

Question:

I have installed the Lippert Quick Tongue Jack without problems. My question is about the position that the handle should be in when towing. It appears to me that if you put the handle in the Stored Position, there is nothing to keep the shaft from rotating with vibration and slowly lowering the base of the jack. If you leave the handle in the Cranking position, there is less chance of it inadvertently lowering the jack. In my case, there is something to keep the handle from easily turning in the cranking position while towing. This appears to be a new product and I dont see any guidance on this aspect of the device.

In either position the handle of the Lippert Quick Drop Tongue Jack # LC733926 would not spin and lower on it's own. There's enough friction in the screw of the jack to prevent vibration from causing it to turn on it's own.
