Will The etrailer Hitch e98844 Work On A 2017 Toyota Highlander With The Attached Spare Tire?

looking to purchase a trailer hitch e98844 for my 2017 Toyota Highlander. How can I confirm that it will fit along with the attached spare tire. The spare tire rim is not aluminum and is not a donut spare,

Hey Ming, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98844 is exactly the hitch you need for your 2017 Toyota Highlander. It will work with a full size spare as long as it's not on an aluminum rim, so as long as you are sure the rim isn't aluminum you'll be good to go and the hitch will work great for you. I've attached a picture showing the hitch installed with the spare tire.

Hello Ming I got my hitch to use it for a scooter carrier. It works great for this. I am a disabled veteran,and can't walk well. The hitch was at a good price, and the installation was cheap, and easy. My spare still fits. You will be happy with this hitch. Kerric Franco

My spare was not an actual tire but it fit very well. You will see that the tire sits above the hitch. The hitch does not interfere with the tire. My Highlander is a 2019 model.
