Is the spare tire under the vehicle or under back seat flooring on a 2019 Toyota Highlander?

The spare tire for a 2019 Toyota Highlander is stored under the vehicle. If you check out the attached installation video for the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98844 you can see the empty location under the vehicle where the spare tire should be. The reason it isn't picture is because the full sized spare with the aluminum rim will need to be removed when a trailer hitch is installed.

If you're looking for a way to still transport your full size spare with the aluminum rim without having it inside the vehicle a very popular option is to have a roof rack installed and use a roof basket to carry the spare tire. This is not only functional but it's also a desired look on vehicles like a Highlander and I can make some recommendations if you'd like.
