Hi there, I want to confirm this will fit the 2023 Ford Escape Hybrid NOT plug-in. In June of 24 I ordered and installed the receiver hitch part e89YR and it was a dream install.

Yes, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55VV is a fit for the 2023 Ford Escape Hybrid, as long as it is not the Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) model. Since you have the standard Hybrid, this is the correct wiring harness for your vehicle.

One of the nice things about the # C55VV is that it plugs into your Escape's factory wiring connectors, so there is no cutting or splicing into the vehicle's wiring, the connectors are in your back taillights. You'll also run the included power wire to the battery to provide a dedicated power source for your trailer lights, which helps protect your vehicle's factory wiring.

What are you planning on towing with your Ford Escape? I just put the # e89YR on my 2020 a few weeks ago, only using it for a bike rack.... for now =)

Installation was a breeze. The only visible evidence of the install is the flat plug next to the hitch. Clean and professional.

Haven't installed the hitch or the wire harness yet, got extremely backed up and now that we are caught up, we will be installing it this upcoming weekend. Will let you know how it goes then

@Shawn When I did mine a few weeks ago on my 2020 Escape, it would have been nice to have the extra set of hands. I didn't on purpose because I like to torture myself. We have lifts here at etrailer, I have done a ton of hitch installs, first time on the ground by myself, had to see what my neighbors (customers) go through. If you don't have a second set of hands, jack stands work great to get it as close to the frame as possible.

This plug N Play is very easy to install it plugs into the taillight connectors and then you just have to run a power wire for the finish setup. It works very well and there is no trying to chase down the right wires for the right connection.
