Question:
I have a1987 Chevy Silverado v10 4wd 8 ft bed with deep bumper. Looking for a hitch and I see the deep drop version has 7.5 inch drop. Might not always stay with this bumper so want to buy accordingly. Can you advise on drop difference between standard bumper and one for deep drop bumper? Thanks in advance.

Hey Wes, the hitches for deep drop bumpers like the part # C15511 have a drop of 8 inches from the frame surface of the truck down to the top of the hitch opening. The fits for standard bumpers like the # 13028 have a drop of 4-1/2 inches.
I attached pictures of both hitches that show the drop for you to check out as well.

Hey Wes, how did things turn out with the hitch options for your Silverado’s deep bumper? Did the drop difference between the two hitches help you decide which one to go with? Your update could make it easier for others comparing those setups.
