When you want to tow or carry more gear, this Curt Class III hitch gives you the strength to do it safely. With a 6,000-lb gross trailer weight rating and 900-lb tongue weight capacity, it’s solid enough for light campers, utility trailers, or cargo platforms. Use a weight-distribution setup and the ratings jump to 8,000 lbs GTW and 900 lbs WD TW. The 2" x 2" receiver opening is standard for most ball mounts, bike racks, and carriers, so you can easily swap between towing and hauling setups.
This hitch is made from sturdy, fully welded steel that’s precision-built for maximum strength and long life. A gloss black powder coat laid over a protective base coat resists rust and corrosion from rain, snow, or road salt. That means it keeps looking good and performing strong season after season without flaking or peeling. The round-tube design adds a clean look under the bumper instead of a bulky square crossbar hanging down.
You won’t need a welder or special tools to get this hitch on your vehicle. It bolts directly to existing points on the frame for a straightforward install with the included hardware kit—no drilling required. The precision-fit design lines up with factory holes so everything sits right where it should, saving time and avoiding frustration when you’re working in your garage or driveway.
Once installed, this hitch is ready for daily duty. It’s rated for towing small trailers or attaching racks and cargo carriers that make road trips easier. Because it’s built to tight tolerances and uses robotic welding for consistency, accessories fit snugly without wobble. Whether you’re mounting a bike rack or hooking up a small camper, it stays steady mile after mile.

Using a bottle jack to exert upward pressure on the bolts is a great idea, but the easiest way to go would be to use an M12x1.75 thread tap to chase the sleeves before installing the hitch bolts.

On the passenger side mounting flange, there should be a white sticker with the hitch part number. If the sticker says 13193, then you have the correct hitch. Per Curt, the hitch has a towing capacity of 6000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 900 lbs.
