Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this K-Source replacement side view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 2008 through 2012 Jeep Liberty. This is going to be modeled after the Jeep's original look and fit so you really shouldn't be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror. Should look like it came with your Jeep Liberty right from the factory, so you don't have to worry about that piece together from the junkyard sort of look. And because this is going to be modeled after that original this does have the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror.
So you're not gonna have to worry about drilling new holes or anything like that. It's gonna be a very simple installation that the mirror will just plug into your existing wiring and you've got the nuts here that will allow you to get this mounted in place so that you can have a fully integrated system again and your vehicle will look complete and you don't have to worry about any of the difficulties of installing a different kind of mirror. So this does have the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It's also got the heated mirror glass. It's gonna help clear frost and ice and reduce fogging.
Now keep in mind that power remote capability and heated mirror glass, odds are this mirror will only work if your vehicle already has those functions. This isn't going to add those capabilities to a vehicle that didn't have it before and the mirror does not support the memory function. So if your original dead, you'll lose a little bit, but this is going to give you a lot of those same original features and it is an OE-grade product so it is going to be good quality materials. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome so you are going to get a nice, clear image. It is a flat lens like north driver's side mirror so it is going to give you a true representation of the object size behind you so you can tell if someone's coming up on you before you change lanes or as you're backing up, make sure that you're not gonna run into anything.
It does have a breakaway design, so it will fold in on itself if you we're to run into a parking post or the side of your garage, something like that. It's gonna help to absorb some of that impact into deter breakage. But this does have a durable plastic housing with this black finish so it is going to be durable for you in most situations. You won't have to worry about it. This is going to be a replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there.
So if you're taking off your old mirror, your original mirror or if you're going through your owner's manual and you see that number anywhere you can trust this is going to be the replacement that you need. The product was as advertised but I was more impressed with the service from etrailer.com. The supplier was a bit slow but the folks at etrailer.com kept me in the loop the entire way. It was very much appreciated as my wife was very anxious about not having the side mirror. The mirror fit and worked on the first try. Just one word of caution, there are no installation instructions with the mirror so you need to be comfortable taking a door panel off and doing the install. Kudos to Megan and the other staff that were so helpful!
Fit perfectly, fast service. My auto body guy was able to install quickly at low cost. overall more than half of it would have cost at the dealership.
My only issue is that I asked for the passenger side view mirror, for my 2012 Subaru Forrester. My vehicle, the side view mirrors also have lights on both, so oncoming drivers can get an additional signal, letting them know which way I am turning. The mirror sent does not have that. So now One mirror has it, and the other side does not. Great
My passenger side truck mirror did not stand a chance after getting too close to a tree while backing up. The replacement mirror from etrailer looks and works as great as the original.

Approximately a 25 minute installation. Great product. Arrived in less than 5 days after ordering. Pretty much a plug and play application. I need to get another push plug, because the ears on one of the inner door mounts broke, while removing it. That stuff happens. Great purchase experience. Highly recommend.
