Recommended Wiring Harnesses to Add a 7-Way to a 2020 Ford Transit T350 w/out the Tow Package

Welcome back Stephan! Yes, there are wiring harnesses available that will add a 7-Way connector to your 2020 Ford Transit T350 that does not have the factory towing package. You will need the following parts:

4-Way Connector - Curt item # C56327 - Single Rear Wheel models only! item # C42MJ for duallys.

7-Way Connector - Universal Installation Kit item # ETBC7

Mounting Bracket - No-Drill Bracket item # C57202

In order to receive the lighting signals from your Transit you'll have to install the Curt item # C56327 4-way connector. It will plug directly into the factory wiring behind your rear tail lights.

The Universal Installation Kit item # ETBC7 includes a 7-way and 4-way trailer connector that mounts at the rear of your Transit with a built in bracket. The item # C57202 can be used to attach this bracket to the crosstube of your new Curt hitch item # C13193, without having to drill.

I attached a diagram below that shows how to wire up the Universal Installation Kit item # ETBC7. You'll need to plug it into the item # C56327 4-way to get the lighting functions for your trailer. You will then connect the blue wire to the blue wire on a brake controller, connect the black wire to the positive post on your Transit's battery, the white wire to a suitable ground nearby, and the yellow wire to the reverse circuit. This will provide you with the ability to control your trailer's lights, brakes, and also provide you with a 12v power wire for you trailer's battery. This kit includes all the wiring, connectors, and circuit breakers you'll need.
