Your propane components won't connect when one has a 1/2" male flare and the other has a 3/8" female NPT port. This 40" high-pressure hose joins those connections and gives you 40" between the components.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at the MEC 40 inch propane hose. So folks, if you're replacing a propane line, maybe you're connecting two components that use two different styles of fittings. This is one option that's a flexible connection that gives you a little over three feet long of hose to work with. Now with any connections, you obviously want to match them up with what you already have. But what we got here today is a half inch female flare swivel, and then this would connect to a compatible half inch male flare fitting.
So that would be on the other side of where you're connecting the two. And on this other end, you have a three eighth inch male NPT, or national pipe thread fitting, and this will thread into a compatible three eighth inch female NPT port. Now with the swivel in here, it's really easy to connect, because you're using the wrench to turn the swivel, not having to worry about twisting the actual hose. Speaking of the hose, this is a thermal plastic design. It's fully crimped on both ends with brass ferrules, so that gives you a nice clean and secure sturdy connection.
This meets all UL and CGA safety regulations, so it has been approved for propane application. So again, folks, you have a nice 40 inch hose. Check it out here at etrailer. We have lots of different styles and lengths as well to fit your needs. I'm Steven.
Thanks for watching.
