This Curt Class I hitch receiver gives you a solid way to tow light trailers or mount accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier. With a 2,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 200-lb tongue weight rating, it’s built for small campers, jet skis, or general utility hauling. The fully welded steel construction keeps it strong for repeated use with light-duty loads without taking up much space under the bumper.
The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening is made for Class I accessories, so you can attach two-bike carriers or cargo baskets without needing a bulky adapter. It supports common options like platform or hanging racks as long as they’re rated for Class I use. A stabilizer strap such as part #18050 is recommended by Curt when carrying non-trailer loads to keep everything steady while driving.
This hitch is designed for a straightforward bolt-on install using factory attachment points. No welding is required, and all mounting hardware plus detailed instructions are included. Whether you’re using ramps or working on level ground, it’s realistic for a single person to install with basic tools. Once mounted, the visible cross tube sits cleanly below the bumper line for an unobtrusive look that doesn’t change your vehicle’s style.
For long-term durability, the hitch is finished with a gloss black powder coat layered over a protective base coat to help resist rust and corrosion. The precision robotic welds keep everything aligned, and the sturdy steel structure maintains a clean finish even after exposure to road grime and moisture. It’s a small but dependable upgrade that lets you tow, carry bikes, or haul gear season after season.

Work fine, with no issues. Next summer I will remove, sandblast then repaint. There is a lot of salt on the road in my location, rust is showing up.
