Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at this Surco ladder rack for the Sprinter vans, specifically the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans with high roofs. Now, this is gonna be a black color. As you can see, it's a black powder coat finish over a nice stainless steel, so it's lightweight and incredibly strong and it's gonna make it easier for you to get up and load and secure gear on the top, either platform or crossbars of your Sprinter van. Now, it installs simply into preexisting holes in the door.
There's no drilling required, and when it's installed, it's gonna look something like this from the side and from the back or the back angle, something like this. So, very simple install. It's installed into preexisting holes into the door, so there's no drilling required. As you can see, it's got very nice, elegant, sturdy steps, and the base has a nice bracket that's gonna prevent the door from flexing while you climb. Now on the top, it's gonna hang onto this other bracket.
They give you all the hardware and they even give you the hardware for the bottom with a couple of these adhesive pads here to help protect the van finish, as well. Now overall width, I got 15 inches wide. On a height from the very top part of the bracket to the base where it was level, I got 81 inches tall. And then from the side, on the bottom part where the bracket is down there, I got about 7 1/2 inches wide or sticking out from the van door. And then right here where this crease is, where it kind of curves out the most, that width or that depth was right at 8 1/2 inches deep from the flat surface on the backside of the van.
So those measurements hopefully will help you if you need 'em. Once again, when it's installed, it's gonna look something like this, so it's not sticking out any further from what I found than that rear step or that bumper down there on the bottom, as you can see. Well, folks, that will wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
