What trunk mount bike rack is the BEST for a 2013 Mercedes C300? Im looking for the easiest to take on and off and the LEAST likely to cause any damage to my Mercedes. I only need to hold 1-2 bikes. Im not concerned about the best deal but the best rack that does not take a degree in rocket science to put on and take off! THX

The trunk mount bike rack option that best meets the criteria you mentioned would be the Thule OutWay, part # TH45JV. The rack attaches to the vehicle using only 2 rubber coates straps, instead of the 6 straps and buckle arrangement used by other racks. This makes the Raceway very easy to use and allows the rack to be installed or removed in seconds.
This carrier comes with locks for both the rack and the bikes to deter theft.
Any piece of equipment that's in direct contact with the painted surface of a vehicle can potentially cause scratches, but this risk can be greatly minimized by ensuring that the portions of the rack and vehicle that touch each other are completely clean and free of grit. Be sure to exactly follow the installation instructions, observe the weight capacity of the rack, and remove the rack when it's not being used.
The only way to 100 percent avoid scratching would be to install a hitch like # C11030 (only a fit for the Sedan model) and use a hitch mounted bike rack like the Kuat # B202-114. The rack is constructed of aluminum so it's tough but lightweight and easy to handle.
If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply-angled top tubes, you might also consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack.
