This Curt trailer hitch receiver gives you solid towing capability rated for 4,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 400 lbs tongue weight. When used with weight distribution, those ratings go up to 5,000 lbs GTW and 500 lbs TW. The 2" x 2" receiver opening fits most popular ball mounts, cargo carriers, and bike racks, making it a dependable option for everything from weekend towing to everyday utility use.
The hitch bolts directly to the vehicle frame using factory holes—no drilling or welding needed. The complete hardware kit comes in the box along with installation instructions, so you can get set up using basic tools in a driveway or garage. Its fully welded steel construction gives the receiver solid strength, while the gloss black powder coat sits over a protective base coat for superior rust resistance. Spare tire is Acura original. Temporary spare. So, smaller than regular tires, but it is OEM and what hitch was designed around.

Hmmm... that is a tough one. I did take a look and for all the hitches that are a fit for the 2011 Acura MDX, they only fit with a mini spare tire and not a full sized spare tire. It is an easy thing to overlook.

Thanks for the follow-up. The hitch is great just user error, I suppose. Simply purchased a tire cover a used the tie-down hooks in the back for the spare. Attached are some pics that y’all are free to use if you’d like. All I ask is to make it explicit in the product description for future customers that it will not allow a full-size spare.
