Does Hitch for 2007 Acura MDX Have Mounting Flange that Tapers In

Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/14/2024

Question:

I have a 2007 Acura MDX with temp spare tire narrow. I show measurements of 38inch width at the lower frame rail mount bolts. and approx 37inch width at upper frame rail mount bolts. So the mounting widths do taper in from bottom to top mount holes. My question: is your tow hitch mount plates tapered to to accommodate this taper or more narrow at top? Can someone provide the outside edge measurements for top and bottom mount bolt ? I tried installing one i ordered on Ebay, but as you can see in photos its too wide 38inch at all ends of mounting plates. No Taper. Looking to buy today!!

Hey James, the hitches we carry for your 2007 Acura MDX like the Curt part # 13354 do have the mounting brackets taper in towards the front of the vehicle to match the frame dimensions of your vehicle.

This will also work with your mini spare that you have now.

Hey James, how did the Curt hitch fit on your Acura MDX with the mini spare in place? Knowing how the tapered brackets lined up could help others trying to match the same frame dimensions.
