Trailer Hitch Receiver Compatible with Spare Tire on 2008 Acura MDX

Question:
Your trailer hitch states that the hitch will not fit if our MDX has a full size spare. What do you recommend should we have a full size spare tire?

I recommend checking the spare because often they appear to be full size until removed. If you have the standard "mini" spare which is a thinner tire when compared to the rear tire then the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13354 is my recommendation. I've attached a photo of the "mini" spare with the hitch installed for reference.
There is not a trailer hitch receiver fit if you have a full size spare tire. This is rare, but if you do have the full size the depth of the tire is too great to fit with the hitch receiver. The full size spare is an upgrade option on a vehicle and isn't standard.
