Note: When servicing your truck with Air Lift air springs installed, if the truck is lifted by the frame, the air must be let out of the springs. And if the rear of the truck is lifted during service, then it must be supported by jack stands to avoid damage to the air springs.

Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 was designed with an exact purpose: to provide full-time, first-class support to your 1/2-ton, 3/4-ton, or 1-ton pickup, motor home, or commercial truck. With this kit, you get a safer ride and simultaneously protect your vehicle from the strain that comes with hauling massive loads.

Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all 4 wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.

LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.

This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Along with a lifetime warranty that has no mileage restrictions, Air Lift offers a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Just install and use LoadLifter 5000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund. Now that's confidence.

Video Transcript for Air Lift LoadLifter Air Helper Springs Installation - 2016 Ram 1500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the AirLift LoadLifter 5000 air springs for the rear axle, part number AL57365.These bags are going to have a load leveling capacity of 5000 pounds, helping your vehicle drive more like stock when loaded by reducing sway and absorbing load shock. They're also going to have a capacity of 5 to 100 PSI. These bags also allow you to increase or decrease air in each bag separately for uneven loads. As you can see here, we have about 1500 pounds loaded in the back of our truck. Now, this is on the stock suspension. You can see it lowered us almost four inches. What this is going to do is this is going to put a lot of unnecessary wear and tear on your suspension, but also unnecessary wear and tear on your tires.

Now, as you can see here on the front, when we have it loaded what it's going to do is it's going to raise your front end up. It's also going to put unnecessary wear and tear on your front tires. It's going to lower your visibility because the front of your truck's going to be up. With the front end raised up like this you're going to lose a lot of your steering capability. Now, you can see here after installing our bags, we've got our load back in it. We're back up to level ride height.

That's going to lower your front end, give you proper steering. It's going to take unnecessary wear and tear off your tires.First thing we're going to have to do is remove this spring. Before we do that, first we need to mark it so when we put it back in we know exactly where it was. Second, we need to take the bolts off that's holding our shock on so we can let our shock hang, because we're going to need to raise the frame up to loosen this. We're just going to draw a line on our spring and on our mount, like that.

Next we're going to take a 21 millimeter socket and 21 millimeter wrench, and we're going to take this bolt off on the bottom of our shock. Go ahead and pull that bolt out and just let your shock out.Now what I did, because we're using a lift like this, what I did is I put a safety strap on it so that if for some reason my vehicle gets a little bit higher, it's not going to swing off the ramp, or off of the stand here. This is just a safety strap. If you have a lift like this, I suggest using one. If you don't you go by the instructions if you use a couple of jacks underneath the brake assemblies. Now that we have it marked, we have our bolt out, we're going to go ahead and take our stand here and we're going to lift up on the frame until our spring is loose enough to take out.

Now that we've got it loose, take it, pull it off to the side, and we're just going to set it aside to be reinstalled. Next we're going to remove our bump stock. You just wiggle it, it will pop out. Next we're going to have to cut this plate off right here that hold our bump stock. What we're going to have to do is we're going to cut the welds, break it off and then we're going to grind it down flat. Now I'm just going to take a thing to wedge up in there.Next, since we have bare metal here, I'm just going to use some black primer spray paint to cover it. You can also use some underbody coating, anything that's going to cover that so it's not bare metal any more to keep it from rusting. Give that a good coat, let it dry for just a second.Next what we're going to do is we're going to take our allen head screw. We're just going to put it in the top, like this, make sure that this is facing up when your allen head screw goes down, and you're going to take a lock nut and we're going to put it on the back side of it. Now, what we're going to do is we're going to tighten this down just enough so this will still move. The only thing that this is going to be used for is a guide pin when we set it up in our frame, and I'll show you that here in just a few minutes. I'm just going to be using a half-inch socket and an allen head.Next you're going to need your paint marker. We're going to take that allen head, the head right there, it's going to go sit right up in that hole, and that's just going to be our guide for where our center is. Now, once you get it up there you're going to take it and you're going to push the bracket all the way towards the center of the vehicle so this outside plate sits flush against your frame. Once you've got that, we're going to take our paint marker and we're going to mark this hole right here. The next thing you want to do is we want to center punch that so when we drill it, it goes up straight. Next we're going to take a 1/4 inch drill bit. Next we're going to take one of our self-tapping screws, and you can tell its self-tapping, it's got a slit in the top. You're going to have six of these in your kit. You'll have three on one side, three for the other. We're going to take our bolt, and what these bolts do is they create threads on the inside of the hole where we just drilled. We're going to bolt it up in there. You want to make sure it's straight, bolt it up in there enough where you get threads made in the frame. Once you've got it in, go ahead and back it out. We're going to take our plate, and we'll go ahead and bolt it into place here on the bottom side. We're going to make sure that that allen head goes into that hole so that your plate sits flat. Run your screw back up into the hole. Go ahead and tighten it down. We're going to be using a 1/2 inch socket. We're going to torque this down to the specifications in the instructions.Next, now that we have our bracket tight up against our frame, we're going to go ahead and drill these two holes here. They're going to be the same size as the hole that was on the bottom, they're going to be a 1/4 inch drill bit. Next thing we're going to do is we're going to take two of our self-tapping screws and we're going to put them into those holes. Next, we're going to torque them down to the specifications in the instructions. Next thing we're going to do is we're going to take one of our plate here, and they're all going to be the same so you don't have a certain one that goes on one end or the other, they're all going to be the same. We're going to take one, we're going to line it up with the holes like this. Next we're going to take the swivel end with the L-shape for our air hose and we're going to hand tighten it in the center hole here. Now, once we get it hand tight we're going to take a wrench and we're going to go around one and a half more times. An 11 millimeter, and if you can see, I've got myself a mark here. I just lined up on the edge of this hole. What I'll do is I'll go around one time to the edge of that hole, and I'm going to do another half turn.Next we're going to take our carriage bolts and we're going to go through the plate like this, and you're going to do all four corners. What we're going to do is we're going to take this like this, you're going to turn it upside down. We're going to take our hex bolt and take your lock washer, followed by a flat washer. We're going to screw them right down in to the holes here, and you're going to repeat that on this hole. We're going to torque these two bolts down to the specifications in the instructions. We're going to be using a 9/16 inch socket. Next thing we're going to do is we're going to take this air bag and we're going to flip it over. We're going to put our other plate on and set it into place. Then we're going to take our driver's side bracket which has this square on it, or this rectangle cut out, and it's going to get a carriage bolt. Now, between the driver and passenger side, this is the only thing that's going to be different. Everything else, the assembly and everything else is exactly the same. We're going to set this on top. We're going to take our carriage bolt. We'll go ahead and put it in there first and we're going to take our allen head screw. Next we're going to go ahead and torque these down to the specifications in the instructions.Next, go ahead and put our spring back into place. Then we're going to line up our lines and we're going to go ahead, lower the frame, lower the vehicle just enough where this is in there tight and that's lined up. What we're going to do now is we're going to hook our shock back up. We're going to get that hole lined up with that hole. We're going to lower the vehicle until that slides into place where we can get out bolt back through. Next we'll go ahead and tighten it up. We're going to be using a 21 millimeter socket, 21 millimeter wrench. Once you have both sides tight then you can torque it down to the specifications in the instructions. What we're going to do is we're going to take our two bolts here that are run through our bottom plate, and they're going to go right into these holes. We've got the air bag up here in place. Now, you'll notice there's hooks on the bottom of this plate. When you set them down take this place, push it forward, and once we tighten them we're going to check them and we're going to make sure we tighten those two bolts the same and we're going to check these periodically to make sure that those hooks are still underneath this plate.Next, we're going to take one of our included nuts, put it on the bottom in this hole here, and then our other one is going to be inside of here, so we'll have an extension, we'll have a socket, and we're going to feed the socket in and come down to put our nut on. We're going to be using a 9/16. Once we get them tight, we'll torque them down to the specifications in the instructions. The next thing we're going to do is we're going to lower, slowly lower our frame so that we get this bracket on top of our four bolts in our four corners, and we're going to put our nuts on the top and tighten it down. Next, with a 14 millimeter socket we'll go ahead and tighten down all of our nuts and bolts on the top of our plate here. Once you have everything tight, you're going to go back and torque everything down to the specifications in the instructions. Now we have the driver's side done, the passenger's side installs exactly the same way. The only thing different was the plate that I showed you.The next thing we want to do is we're going to take our heat shield that comes in our kit and we're going to bend these small tabs so it gives us space, which is going to mount right here to protect our air back here and our airline hose that's going to come out here. We're going to mount it right there. We're going to take these tabs, we're going to bend them down like this, and we're going to go about half-way and we're going to bend them back up like that, flat. What that's going to do is this is going to mount to our exhaust pipe and it's going to create air space between our exhaust pipe and this shield. Kind of give it a little test fit.Next what we're going to do is it comes with two clamps. We're going to go ahead and put our clamps up here, put them up there loose, just let them, hang. We'll take our other one, get it up around our exhaust pipe. Then we'll take our heat shield with our tabs, tighten the clamps down. Then we're going to take 5/16 socket and we're going to tighten down our clamps.Next what we want to do is we want to cut our airline hose in two equal parts. You'll notice the one end already has the fittings on it, so we're just going to take those two, line them up to get our center. We're going to use part number AL10530 to cut our hoses. Next what we're going to do is we're going to set our airline hoses. We're going to take a 5/16 inch drill bit, we're going to drill a hole, about right here. The next one, try to line it up next to it, go about right here. Now, I do want to mention you want to make sure that when you're drilling these holes you want to make sure there's nothing behind it. First thing we're going to do is we're going to take our star nut, one of our star nuts, and we're going to put it on about half way. We're not going to have this whole thing sticking out. We just want enough out so that when we put our gauge on there when we're filling it with air, and we're going to take our star washer, follow the nut, and we're going to put this through the hole we just drilled. Go ahead, run our valve through, make sure we've got enough there. I'm going to take a rubber washer and follow it by my flat washer and then my hex nut. Now, you can see that's not going to be enough to get a valve stem or to check our air or add air, so I'm going to loosen the back. I'll just push it out and I'll go ahead and thread this in until I get it to where I want. Then we'll go ahead and tighten those down. Here on our driver's side, what I did is I went up over top of the frame, that way if you ever have to take your spare tire down or raise it back up you don't have to worry about your hose getting caught in between. I went up over top of the frame, and now I have plenty of line to hook into my bag right here. Next what I'm going to do, I'm going to go ahead and zip tie this hard line right here, just to make sure my air hose doesn't move around. What you want to make sure is you want to pull this snug, but you don't want to pull it so tight you're kinking your hose anywhere, so make sure when you pull that tight you check your fitting at the other ends to make sure you haven't kinked it.Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to cut my line so I can put in my air bags. What we've got to remember, our air bag is deflated, so when we raise it up it's going to extend our hose, so we want to make sure that we're going to have enough room when we extend our hose that it's not going to pull it out of our fitting or take a chance kinking the hose or breaking it. I want to give myself plenty of extra. Now we're going to take our end, we're going to push it into our fitting. You'll feel it give a little. Once you've got it in, go ahead and give it a tug on it to make sure that the line's in there. For our passenger's side, what I did is I ran my line over top of the frame here, and because of my exhaust I came over top this bed frame. You can see I put this heat shield tubing on to prevent heat from the exhaust on our hose, and I also zip tie right up here to make sure this wasn't going to sit on top.Next, we'll go ahead and air the bags up and check for any leaks. Next thing we're going to so is we're going to spray some soapy water on our nozzles here to see if we have any leaks. Now we can raise our vehicle back up. We're going to check our bags and air line hoses there for any leaks. Once we've determined there's no leaks, go ahead and put your caps on.That will do it for the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 air springs for the rear axle, part number AL57365 on our 2016 Dodge Ram 1500.

Have had the air bags installed for 3-4 weeks now. Love them! Huge difference in ride quality when hauling or towing heavy loads. My only criticism is in the design. The left side fit perfect and the bag is perfectly aligned vertically but the right side bag is canted slightly. Almost as if the bottom brackets holes are drilled slightly off. I called the company and was told that up to 15 degrees is acceptable. It just looks as though the bag may wear more but time will tell I guess. I would still recommend. Also looking at purchasing the compressor system to ensure the bags always have adequate pressure. 421216

About a year ago, I installed this on my 2013 Ram 1500 with the hemi. I pull an enclosed 6x12 trailer with my tools and equipment in it. The trailer has a heavy tongue weight and is driven in city traffic every day. This kit has saved my front tires from wearing any more than they did as well as how easy it is to adjust the height of the truck based on my current load. I recommend it. 295497

This was an airbag install that took me about 4 hours. I did this in my garage with a minimum of tools. I did end up about an inch higher bed height even with empty airbags and no weight on the vehicle but this may come down with use. The shipping from etrailer was fast and the sales agents have firm grasp of their products and installation procedures. I can always get a straight answer from them. I also ordered the curt under bed gooseneck hitch. This took me about 8 hours to install but I was in no hurry and wanted it done right. Thanks etrailer for great service. 491845

I haul a 8' truck camper that pops up, it has a app. 1400 # weight to it. I also pull a 17' Lund boat that is loaded with my 2011 Dodge 1500. When I first put the truck camper on the truck before installation of the air bags, my truck squatted 6", basically it bottomed out. But when I put the air bags on, WOW, what a difference it made. Now when I travel down the road, there is no more swaying, or bouncing like it use to do on my Chevey that I use to haul it all with without any air bags. But now I see Dodge these are put on all their trucks. I am SO HAPPY I purchased these, & would recommend them to anyone. I told my neighbor about them & he put a set on his F2500, to pull his 31' 5th wheel, & he loves them. I was 65yrs. young when I purchased & installed these Air Bags, & was a welder for 45yrs.. nut if you have any doubts weather you can put them on. Well relax the video that shows you how to put them on when you purchased them makes it a breeze. I hope this easess your mind if you are in doubt about making the purchase. And the price I believe was more than fare. Good Luck to All, And May GOD RICHLY BLESS ALL WHO CALL ON HIS NAME. 345917

Review from a similar Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

High quality and heavy duty. Good instructions as well. Just got them installed yesterday on my 2009 F-150 crew cab with 6.5' box. I also have the B&W turnover gooseneck ball hitch and my main concern was still being able to mount these. Fit like a charm, no interference at all. I wish I would have purchased them sooner. Sometimes we haul loads that might be just a bit heavy for an F-150, but we are careful. These will certainly help. I have similar air bag type suspensions install on our other two work trucks and I love them. What I did was got myself a 1/4" compression tee and plumbed both air bags into one valve. That way, they air up evenly. It comes with everything to air up each bag separately but I prefer them to be the same. They cost about $6 at any hardware store. I mounted the single air fill valve near the drivers tail light inside the box facing forward. There is an opening where the tail light harness runs up and I followed that with the air valve. I drilled a hole and snaked a tie wire down and through some finagling I managed to get the valve out the hole and mounted. Looks good and is out of the way. Install took me about 5 hours from tools out to tools away, but I was not in a big hurry. I aired them up to 70 psi and drove home looking like a hot rod with the back kicked up. Checked the air pressure this morning and all is well. No leaks as far as I can tell. Highly recommended and a great price as well. 643462

The addition of the Air Lift is by far something I should have done years ago. I was short in time so I had my local Midas shop install them. They work so well. I only needed 20 lbs. of pressure to level the truck and trailer. On the road, the trailer rode better, braking felt better, and the up and down motion I disliked going over bumps is gone. Awesome product for safety while towing. 568497

Great product! Easy install. Tech Tip, On my 2018 F250 in order to install the driver side air bag unbolt the lower shock mounting bolt and swing shock up and out of the way. Have a 2018 28.5 Jayco fifth wheel 1400 LBS pin weight only need 10 psi to level the truck! Rides great! Thanks Again E Trailer 566616

The Airlift airbags I installed on my 2015 Ford F-150 were easy to install and everything fit as described. I have made several purchases from etrailer.com and am very satisfied with the products they sell and the speed in delivery. 211609

One year later I still like these airbags. My truck rides level and handles smoothly. Without a load, however, its stiff in back and bounces, even with the airbags deflated.

The product was delivered in a perfect condition and as scheduled. Very simple installation for 2016 Ford F150. The Ride with 5 lbs is better than the factory ride. I thought it would be a rough based on what others said. The rear height did get raised by 1/2" at 5 lbs. With a good bicycle pump it took 4 pumps to get to 20 lbs., that's much better than getting out the the compressor. 485152

Review from a similar Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

Installed this kit a month ago and used it three times pulling my travel trailer. Works as described and has performed as I expected it to. I have a GMC 1500 and no matter if I have my travel trailer with a 600lb tongue weight or 6'x10' single axle trailer with a 160lb tongue weight, with load of course, my truck would squat in the back. I already added a sway control/weight distribution system and now wanted to get my truck in the right configuration while pulling. For safety and performance. After reading a lot of reviews I chose this kit. This kit was easy to install but did take 3 or 4 hours. I wasn't in a rush and wanted to make sure I followed everything in the instructions and not miss anything. I didn't want to rush through it to miss a critical step and then lose brake fluid due to a hole in a brake line. Mainly didn't want to break anything important nor did I want to puncture the air lifts or the poly lines. Kit went on as expected and fit perfectly. The instructions included pictures and examples to follow that illustrate how everything fits and where everything should be routed. I would definitely buy again. 589432

Previously installed Firestone air helper springs in my Ford F250. Wish I would have ordered them instead of the Air Lift helper springs. While quality of Air Lift appears to be good, installation compared to installing the Firestone system is a real bear. Firestone easily as good quality and much simpler/easier to install. 99455

The product arrive in a timely matter as with everything that I have purchased from e-trailer , the only problem I had was there were some lock nuts missing from the package , 2 pouches were opened when I opened the box , [ this was from the factory not e-trailer fought ] the photo's in the installation booklet could have been a little clearer , my truck has sway bars and none of the photo's showed them that I could see and the installation book didn't talk about them , Had to figure it out on my own . Other than that no problems , took about 4 hours to install , a 4 point drive on lift would be a great help , also remove the spare tire , it helps 513733

Review from a similar Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

I ordered the Air Lift 5000 from etrailer and I was very pleased with doing business with them. I normally order parts from someplace else but I will be using etrailer for all my future needs. The part was delivered on time and etrailer helped me make the right choice for my needs. Helpful, knowledgeable, timely, and provided the right part for the job; 5 stars from me for that. Now onto the Air Lift 5000. I was amazed at how detailed the instructions were. They made it extremely easy to follow the instructions while building the assemblies. Probably one of the easiest part assemblies I have ever put on a truck and definitely the most detailed instructions I have ever seen. Everything bolted directly to stock mounts on the frame and no drilling was required. After getting everything mounted to the truck and installing the air lines, I was a little skeptical about the air line connections and I was afraid of leaks. I filled both air lines to 60 PSI after the install and when I checked the pressure this morning, I was still at 60 PSI. The last thing I will cover is the ride. I have not towed my trailer yet but I am excited for when I do. I dropped the air pressure to 7 PSI this morning and took a 30 mile drive. The difference this part has made is unbelievable. It still rides like a truck but it is much stiffer in the back now when driving on rough roads which adds a huge difference to the ride quality. I can only imagine the difference I will experience when towing my 12k trailer. Overall, I could not be more happy with my purchase. etrailer has 5 star customer service and they sold me a 5 star part. 484223

Review from a similar Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension

Finished the install last weekend fairly smoothly. I jacked up one side of the truck at a time since I only had one jack. Had to put the jack on cinder blocks to get it high enough to engage the leaf spring front mount. One comment/suggestion for the installation guide. The only thing I struggled with was the parking brake cable. It was exactly in the way of engaging the bottom bracket to the axle. No matter how I moved the bracket it would not clear the cable. Then the light came on, release the brake dummy! Once the brake was released there was plenty of room to engage the assembly onto the axle. Of course, I did put some chalks on the front tires to keep the truck from rolling while I was underneath... No leaks, and it seems to ride much smoother than before. Thanks for a great product, 104826

Comments

I still like the product but it seems to have a slow leak somewhere and will not hold air pressure for a week at the original setting. Guess I need to do a bubble leak test, just have not gotten to it. Other than that the product is great.

Came well packaged, all itsy bitsy parts accounted for. Says no drilling required but you will need a cutting wheel or hacksaw to cut a bolt off. Instructions are pretty good but pictures sometimes don't show exactly what you need to know. My favorite part 2 hrs install. We all know that means at least 4. One more hour and I'll be finished. 426268

The air bags went in great, and pretty easy. I did not like the recommended location for the air valves. So I put them through the body panels to have them inside the back doors. They work great like that. I just put in a 7/16” grommet in the panel to run the air line through the outside panel. Works great and easy to fill with air. 544314

I had this installed by my mechanic, he said no problems, basically just bolted in. I went to pick up my 30' travel trailer and I adjusted the pressure to 20psi before I hooked it up. Before the air springs there was a noticeable sag in the back of the truck with the trailer hitched. With just 20psi in the bags there was barely any sag at all, and the trailer pulled much better. Planning on a trip this weekend and I'll probably increase the pressure up to 30psi to see how that works. Very happy with this product, I wish I would have bought it years ago. 256010

This Loadlifter worked excellent. Put a Lance camper at 2600 lbs. on my Ford F350 crewcab pickup. Despite the camper package option on my truck with extra rear leaf springs, it still pushed the bed end down and the hood side up in the air. Annoying side to side roll as well. The AirLift LoadLifter had very good instructions and was not difficult to install. Drilled five holes in the frame on each side to attach. Plenty of part options to make it a very good fit. Aired up the springs until the camper was perfectly level. Truck now drives level and considerably less side to side roll. This was well worth the price for the performance. 53242

First thing is e-trailer the best to buy from , hands down! Air lift 5000 not a great kit in my opinion . This is not my first air bag install , over 12 so far. Brackets look good , bags fit them good and hardware is ok. The problem is the upper bracket is 3/4k inch short of sitting against frame . Jounce cup is in the way , I tried to mock it up in place but hardware is to short . Jounce cup had to be removed for bracket to fit up to frame , it's welded on . This kit is not what I would average to install . I'll try a different manufacturer next time. 2009 chevy 1500 4x4 crew cab . 176164

Received via UPS very fast. Box was a little ragged and the UPS driver waited as I opened it to make sure it was ok. One of the plastic bags holding nuts and bolts had come open allowing them to rattle around inside the box but only was missing a single flat washer. Easy install, I took a lot of breaks and I’m a little slow getting up and down so it took 4 hours. Held pressure overnight. I’m going to haul our 40 ft 5th wheel in a couple of days looking forward to using the air bags 671822

I have a 2019 Nissan Titan XD with the 5.6 GAS motor. Wanted to do an Airlift suspension to provide a little support and get my headlights perfectly back to level when towing my travel trailer. No one makes an airbag kit for the gas XD, but after discussing it some with John H at etrailer, I decided to go with the kit for the diesel truck and see how things went. The kit for the diesel truck fit perfectly, except that there is an emissions component hung from a bracket on the driver's sign frame that prevents a direct install of the driver's side bag. My shop was able to install the kit with no trouble - they just had to bend the bracket with the small emissions component attached upwards for clearance. Everything else went in as designed. Great fit - can't wait to see it work under load. 669525

Comments

The nice feature of air springs is that you can custom tailor the ride to just about any situation. Carrying a full load?- Add more air for less sag and more stability. Less weight on the vehicle when youre not hauling? - Let some air out of the suspension for a softer, more pliable ride.

Do you have a question about this Vehicle Suspension?

  • Can I Use Airbags on my 2015 Ram 1500 with Lift Kit
  • The airbag kit I recommend for your 2015 Ram 1500 is the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57365. This kit will provide support while towing and work to help preserve the life of your existing suspension components. In order to then make this kit compatible with the 4" rear lift kit you are going to need a spacer. In most cases, you just need to match the height of the spacer to the height of the suspension lift, not body lift. If the suspension has been raised 4" in...
