Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline. And today we'll be taking a look at our Replacement Anti-Rattle Bolts and Locks for your Saris Bike Racks right here at etrailer. So this bolt will work with your inch and a quarter and 2-inch shank bike rack. So if you have one or the other, or you have an adapter, this will help thread into there and keep it tight. So this is designed to work with your threaded bike racks and we have a list of those bike racks below on our product page. But this is also used with your hollow shank bike racks as long as you have this piece.
The bike rack will have this piece included with it which is the Saris SuperClamp HD. But if the bolt itself is missing or you need a lock, this has the same thread and will work with that too. This is the hitch tite replacement part from Saris, this fits into your hollow shanks but this is the bolt that's included. So if you want to use your Saris lock, it will not fit. And that's why you might be interested in getting the threaded bolt along with the hitch tite assembly.
So whether you have the Saris bike rack that has threads on the inside, or you have a hollow shank and you're using this hitch tightener, all you need to do is put the anti-rattle bolt into the bike rack, once it's lined up with your hitch pin hole and then you're gonna be using a 3 quarter inch wrench or socket like what I'm using here to tighten it down. Once you have this tightened down, you can now see, that this took out mostly your side to side rattle. Because of the way it's designed though, you might still have a little bit of up and down movement. But side to side, you're all good. Don't forget to put the lock right there at the end once you have that tightened down.
That should pop in, secure it, take your keys out, you can even put the dust cap on it, then you're good to go. So as you can see, it's the direct replacement part for your bike racks that have threaded shanks as well as a replacement part for bikes with hollow shanks as long as you have the correct tightener nut on the inside of those shanks. Hopefully this helped you out with getting the correct part and seeing what you need for your adventures. Double/triple check the lock before driving away. I lost a lock because I thought it was locked (entirely fault). I'm buying this one to replace.
Other people have suggest to attach lock to that you don't lose it on the road.
Received product etrailer without a hitch. Price was also much lower than ordering from othe places.
This lock is great quality easy to use, and at a great price it is far preferable to a simple threaded hitch pin.
All is good. I just needed a replacement lock as the original was misplaced.
The hitch lock spans my new 2.5 inch receiver with about 1/4 inch to spare and is now lockable. The original hitch tite pin is the same length but the lock on this item locks from the side and makes better use of the pin.

Works well on performance x-port racks. Bolt is a bit longer than the original but it does not interfere with rack or hitch. Nice to have the added security of locking the rack to the hitch.

I had a hitch put on my car to hold a bike rack and anything else towable. At the two year mark, my lock froze, because I did not maintain it correctly. I searched and finally found Etrailer. The replacement was sent quickly and with proper oiling, should be good for years.

I have yet to try the product since it is below zero outside and not very conducive to biking. The bike rack did arrived with one broken strap. Saris and etrailer have been helpful in getting that replacement taken care of. my only real complaint is that I ordered the lock in the hitch lock. I would have expected that they could come with the same key so I wouldn't have to carry multiple keys but they did not. Other than that the bike rack looks very nice and I look forward to using it when it warms up.
This has been a great lock for my bike rack. I used to remove the rack altogether and lock it in the bed of my truck every time I went for a bike ride - mainly out of fear that the rack would be stolen. This lock has made my life MUCH easier, and gives me the peace of mind of knowing that my rack will still be attached to my truck when I return from my ride.
This was an ABSOLUTELY PERFECT fit for my Bell Right Up bike carrier! I purchased and returned a few others off Amazon that stated they would fit this same carrier and they either too big or the threads were off so I could screw the bolt in. If you have the Bell Right Up, this lock will give you peace of mind knowing it'll fit securely to your hitch.
I just wrote another positive review for the Saris anti rattle hitch insert with 5 stars. This lock is fantastic for anyone who has a Saris bike rack that is hitch mounted or other hitch mounted racks. You can secure your rack so you can leave the campground area and don’t need to worry about your bikes disappearing when you go for a walk. I looked around on Amazon and other sites for bike racks that are hitch mounted and couldn’t find this model anywhere. Bottom line, if they carry this part, etrailer.com will have that other obscure part Yu broke or lost on your last camping trip. The site is very easy to use and they got me my part in two days! 5 stars!

Still satisfied. I need to remove my bike rack often
Lock is well made and provides a good security feature for the Saris Freedom series hitch mounted racks.
I also purchased the 4412B Freedom 2 rack and I'm impressed with the design and manufacturing taken to produce such a device
I Love ordering from E-Trailer, Its so easy to find the product I'm searching for. I recently purchased a lock for my Saris bike carrier, our last lock made it three years until the bolt threaded, we leave our carrier on all winter since I ride a lot in winter months outside, with Iowa winters comes Brine on the roads, corrosive to metals, yet this lock works really well year round. I would definitely order from them again.

The Hitch Tight anti rattle hitch lock by Saris gives me piece of mind knowing that my new Saris Bones 2 bike rack is safe and secure! It screws in very easily and the lock secures the whole unit .
I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. From the moment Chris answered the phone, walked me through the options and emailed me to let me know that the rack and lock had been delivered, the experience was exceptional. And...their pricing was better than others. I'll be back as needed, often.

The securing straps are a little cumbersome but overall I really like the rack. Very satisfied.

I would have given 5 stars, but the USPS took almost a month to deliver the bike carrier hitch lock.
Seems like a sturdy product however I wish it didn’t need to be unlocked and completely removed in order to take the rack off. Would love if you could unlock and easily remove the rack for safe storage in your trunk.
It does the job. It doesn’t fit flush against a 2 inch hitch. Hopefully it acts as a deterrent to theft as the exposed pin could be cut. I know if someone really wants to steal the rack, they could do it with a bit more effort.
Product fits good for our bike rack. Quality material lock. Waiting almost 2 weeks for this lock that was in-stock was not good.
The lock replaces a lock we lost for our 20+ year-old Saris bike rack. So thankful this item was in stock.
