Question:

Does this rack work if there are fenders on the bikes without any problem with clamps or damage to fenders?

UPDATE: Yes, the Saris SuperClamp EX4 is compatible with bikes that have fenders.

I have a solution for you, but the Saris SuperClamp EX4 # SA4026F cannot be used with bikes with fenders; you'll instead need to use a bike rack that holds the bikes by the frames. For that I recommend using the Saris Freedom 4 Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # SA4414B-FB, which has the same functions as the SuperClamp but holds the bikes by the frames, so your fenders won't get damaged.

Because these racks don't come with locks included I do recommend adding both the Hitch Tite Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for Saris Bike Racks with 1-1/4" and 2" Shanks # SA3022 to secure the rack to your vehicle and then the Saris Cable Lock # SA981 to secure the bikes to the rack.

I've linked a review video of this rack for you to have a look at, as well.

Erik, according to Saris under specs, they write > Adjustable arms and wheel trays fit almost any type of bicycle, including those with fenders, mountain bikes and ebikes; bike spacing accommodates widest combination of bicycles. and > Wheel straps are provided for the rear wheel if needed for kids bikes, e-bikes and bikes with fenders. You don't agree?

@CodyS Thanks for catching that! Erik answered this a while back and Saris may not have had that posted as a selling point. I've added an update to this page to make sure future readers can see it's compatible, but traditionally, bike racks with wheel hooks aren't compatible with fenders since the hook typically needs to be mounted to the same space as the fender.
