2021 Ford Ranger Brake Controller Recommendation to Avoid Splicing Wires

2021 Ford Ranger XL no 4 blunt wires. I do not like the Redarc TBC that goes with the trailer brake module that the dealer insists you have to install. Do I have other options for after market? Prefer Curt proportional TBC. Unsure of how to wire. Phot attached is the only thing I found with blue tape under the left dash tucked up high.

Hey Kelly, thanks for reaching out!
The connector you found on your 2021 Ford Ranger has the same shape as a lot of brake controller connectors, but there are way too many wires connected to it for it to be for the brake controller functions.
If you want to avoid splicing into wiring under your dash then I recommend checking out the Curt Echo In-Line Bluetooth Brake Controller # C79DR. This tees in behind the 7-Way on your truck and you adjust the settings via pone app. If your phone dies or is used for something else the controller will continue to use the settings that you last applied. You can even get the Button # C83HR so you can activate the manual override without having to even touch your phone.
