Will Curt Echo In-Line C79DR Work With 7-Way In Truck Bed And 7-Way On Bumper?

Question:
I am looking to purchase the C79DR, I have a 2025 GMC 2500 Denali that has a bumper and bed plug. How does this controller have the ability to work both plugs when it only gets installed to the bumper plug? I mainly pull gooseneck trailers but have trailers which require a bumper plug. Should I install this on the bed plug? Or the bumper plug? Or would I be required to purchase two controllers? Any bit of guidance would be very helpful.

Hello Josh, that is actually a really good question. The Curt Echo In-Line Bluetooth Brake Controller # C79DR does have the ability to work with the 7-way in your bed, and the one on your bumper. What you will want to do is install the controller behind the plug in the bed. As long as the controller is Tees into the wiring before both plugs, it will work with both. This way it will give you braking capability at the bed plug and the bumper plug.
