Question:
I have a 2022 hyundai Palisade and I need to install a 7pole hitch system. I do want to facilitate electric braking for the trailer. What will I need? I am a little confused by the various videos Ive watched.

Thanks for reaching out, James!
It can be a bit confusing getting all of the parts together for trailer towing with your 2022 Hyundai Palisade, but I'll make a list of the parts I recommend to make this an easy process for you:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e95ZR
- Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C68JR
- Mounting Brackets # PK12711U and # 18136
- Curt Echo In-Lin Brake Controller # C79DR
I really like the etrailer hitch because it has a matte black finish that looks great and does a better job at hiding road debris scratches than the standard glossy black style does.
The Curt wiring will be a simple plug-in installation (although you may need to take your vehicle to a dealer to have the computer flashed if you don't have the tow package), and the 7-Way can be secured next to the receiver with the mounting brackets.
For the brake controller I chose the Echo In-Line because it's one of the easiest installs on the market; you tee-in the wiring at the back of the Curt 7-Way using the USCAR connector and secure the box under your vehicle. After that it's just a matter of downloading the app and pairing your phone to the controller so you can adjust the settings! No digging under your dash for connectors or trying to figure out how to route wiring inside your vehicle.
I'm attaching some installation videos to this page for your reference. The only other thing you'll need to tow a trailer is a ball mount, and if you can let me know the height of the trailer coupler relative to the ground I can make a recommendation for you!
