These tires are very ruggedly built. They carry a load rating of D, and the stout construction is impressive. They are a bit more difficult to mount because of the stiff, rugged construction. So it takes some muscle and some patience if you are using hand tools to mount them. This is a nice upgrade over the tires that were originally installed on my trailer. 357051

Great product. Upgraded from B to D's. Wish these came with rims because they're impossible to mount yourself. Tire shop cost $10 per mount though. Already put 300 miles on them and no longer have the worry of overloaded tires. So far so good and arrived on time in perfect condition. Thanks! 219903

I purchased two 5.70.8 tires for my golf cart trailer. I ordered them on Sunday evening. I had some questions so called Etrailer and talked to Phillis. She answered all my questions and then actually competed my order and said tires would be shipped Monday ground transportation 5 to 7 days. I I thanked her said ok but would lose six or seven days without a cart. Low and behold she called me back and up graded my shipping to primer shipping For same cost. Tires shipped on Monday received them Wednesday afternoon and was back on the road to golf on Thursday. Thank you . Up 617085

Ordered two of these tires to replace two that are failing. Like the increased load range on these tires and perform well on the road. However, the two tires I needed to replace were because of loss of a portion of the tread on one of them and an area of extreme wear/cupping on the other tire. Speculate this was because I left the tires on the trailer over the four months of inactivity during winter season and they were sitting on a concrete surface. Lesson learned and will remove them and store indoors this winter 448334

etrailer gets both thumbs up. They carried the high load range tires I could not find locally, priced right, and delivered promptly. I received the entire order correctly and on time. Thanks to their free shipping offer, I was also able to add a trailer light which pushed my order across the threshold for free shipping making it, in essence, a freebie. I'll definitely go to etrailer first next time. 379815

Just received them today so this is not a total review but from a service standpoint they are great. Received a quick email from George to let me know they received my order. I wasn't in a hurry for the tires but they got here very quickly. I'll be buying more trailer parts from these folks in the future. 325324

One of the two tires blew up while hauling a light load at highway speeds (65mph). For what I paid for the tires, I was very unhappy and got the royal run-around from the dealer and then passed off to the mfg. and got no joy from them. Save your money and just get HD tires from the big box stores. 276870

Speedy delivery and high quality products. I ordered the RV tire cover as well as 5 trailer tires. I had to replace the awful and extremely poor quality tires that came with the Farm-Tuff Utility Trailer — 2,200-Lb. Capacity, Model# 03813 wagon that i ordered from Northern Tool. 539421

I bought these Loadstar tires for use on my 17-foot hybrid camper. The new tires arrived from etrailer a day earlier than expected and I was able to get them mounted the same day. I've only put about 20 miles on the tires (testing them in my local area before going OTR), but they feel very solid and ride well. These tires are very well reviewed, and etrailer has them priced better than anywhere. I'm sure to follow up on this review in time. Thanks etrailer! 636125

We put these tires on our 23 ft. camp trailer. They have been one of our best investments! Even after sitting all winter, we did not have to add any air when getting the camper ready for summer camping season! Definitely an improvement over the D rated tires that came with the camper originally! 416955

I ordered a pair of LOADSTAR K399 205/65 -10 Load Range E bias tires late on Friday evening and they arrived before noon the following Tuesday , a day quicker than expected. The tires arrived well packaged and in great shape. I haven't had a chance to have the tires mount yet, but I don't anticipate any problems at this point. Although it can be a challenge to locate a vendor that carries these size tires, they are exact OEM replacement tires to fit my Acme EZE-Tow car dolly. A job well done etrailer! 473574

I mounted them, with balance beads, and they have driven and worn wonderfully on my car dolly, both loaded and unloaded. I would definitely purchase them again and recommend them to all.

I placed my order on Friday and had my tires by Tuesday. Excellent customer service and no shipping fees to boot. Easy ordering, no hassle and they kept me informed all along the way of where my tires where. I have not worked with this company before, but will in the future when there is another need. I would recommend etrailer to friends and family. Totally satisfied customer 127434

I ordered my tires on a weekday and poof they appeared within a day or two. Awesome customer service. I ordered 2 replacement tires and shortly thereafter I sold my popup to my brother who drove it from North Carolina down to the Keys where he lives - he has made multiple trips throughout Florida and has not had any problems at all with the tires and wanted to make sure he knew where I purchased them when it time to replace. Will definitely be a repeat customer. These people do an awesome job!

Received the items today and at first look they look great. The tires seem to be of high quality as does the tire/wheel combo. The tire/wheel combo come ready to roll and full if air. These are going on a 24' pontoon trailer that will be going from Ga to Va and back to Ga in October so I will try and remember to update this review as soon as I get back. So far etralier has done another outstanding job 227180

Ask the Experts about this Kenda Tires and Wheels

Do you have a question about this Tires and Wheel?

  • Recommended Trailer Tires Size 5.70 x 8 for Highway Speeds
  • The only 5.70 x 8 sized tire we carry that is a Load Range D is the Kenda K353 # AM10013. It's a bias tire with a maximum capacity of 1,075 at 100 psi. The maximum speed rating on this tire is 65 mph. I don't know what your current tires are rated for but they might say somewhere on the tire's sidewall. You will want to stay within the speed rating. Exceeding it will cause the tire to heat up more than it should which can cause the tire to fail. Radial tires are generally better...

  • Different Load Range Options for Trailer Tire Size 5.70-8
  • Load Range for tires is a way for the manufacturers to organize the relative weight capacities of their tires by size. Basically every tire size will have it's own capacity for a Load Range B for example but all that really matters is that the capacity of the tires is adequate for the weight of the trailer and it's cargo. In your tire size of 5.70-8 the Load Range B like the part # AM10010 is 715 lbs at 50 psi. If your trailer weighed less than 400 lbs roughly this would be adequate....

  • Why is the Wheel on the Kenda 5.70-8 Wheel and Tire Combo Rated Lower than the Tire
  • On the Kenda 5.70-8 Tire and Wheel Combo, # AM30153, Kenda uses a load range D tire because the 8-ply load range D tires have a stronger construction than 6-ply load range C tire. Even though there is a higher rated tire on the wheel, the maximum weight capacity is still only 910 lbs. You will just get a stronger tire with this combination that will last longer than a load range C tire. Unfortunately, we do not carry an 8 inch wheel and tire combo with a 4 on 4 bolt pattern that has...

In the 5.70-8 size, Load Range B # AM10010, Load Range C # AM10012, or Load Range D # AM10013. In all honesty, I would stick with the higher rated 4.80/4.00-8 Load Range C tire # AM10004,...

  • Can Trailer Tires be Downsized from 5.70-8 to 4.80-8 on a Fishing Boat Trailer
  • Both the 4.80/4.00-8 Trailer Tire, like # AM10002 that you selected, and the 5.70-8 Trailer Tire, like # AM10010, are designed to fit on 8 x 3-3/4 inch rims, so the smaller tires will mount on your rims. The problems come with weight capacity. The 4.80-8 trailer tires are only available in load range B and C while your original size tire is available in load range B, C and D. You will need to make sure that the tire you select is capable of carrying the gross weight of your trailer...

  • Tire Replacement Recommendation for a 5.70-8 Trailer Tire
  • The 5.70-8 size tire you have on your trailer is pretty small in width and in diameter, so without knowing what clearance you have available on your trailer it would be hard to say for certain what the biggest size you could fit. The best recommendation I could make would be to go with the Load Range D in your current size and be sure to keep it inflated to it's max psi. For the tire only you would want the part # AM10013. You would need to keep 100 psi in this tire.

  • Comparing a 5.30x12 and 5.70x8 Trailer Tire
  • A 5.30x12 tire such as part # AM10064 is around 21.7" diameter x 5.3" wide whereas a 5.70x8 tire such as part # AM10013 is around 18.1" diameter x 5.7" wide. Therefore, the new tire will be 3.6" taller x .5" narrower than the one you have now. You only need to account for half of each measurement for clearance. I have attached a list of our 5.30x12 tires for you as well.

  • Rim Width Required for Installing a 5.70-8 Trailer Tire
  • I wonder if you possibly aren't measuring from the correct location to determine the width of your trailer rims. If you are including the lips of the wheels you may actually have 3-3/4 inch wide rims and we would have a replacement that would work for you. Check out the picture I attached to see where you are supposed to measure. If you do have a 3-3/4 inch wide rim I would recommend the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire # AM10013. I attached an FAQ on trailer tires for you to check out...

  • Recommended Replacement Tire For Small Utility Trailer
  • You will want to make sure you do not exceed the weight capacity of the trailer. Upgrading tires or wheels will not allow you to carry more weight than what the trailer is designed to handle. With that being said you can upgrade the tires and/or wheels provided you have enough room with your fenders or perhaps by replacing the fenders on the trailer. You also need to make sure you have the clearance between the tire and the trailer. You want at least 3 inches clearance between the top...

  • Replacement 5.70-8 Tires On Wheel With 5 on 4-3/4 Inch Bolt Pattern
  • I do have an option for you but we currently do not carry a wheel with 5 on 4-3/4" bolt pattern in the size that you need. The best option for you would be to just replace the tire for which I recommend the Kenda K353 Bias Trailer Tire part # AM10012 for load range C or part # AM10013 for load range D. The only option I have for you to replace the wheel as well would be to switch to a more common bolt pattern like 5 on 4-1/2" but I would need to know your bearing and seal numbers/measurements...

  • Benefits of Upgrading to Higher Load Range Tires on Trailer
  • As you mentioned in your question, upgrading to higher load range tires on your trailer is not going to increase the weight capacity of the trailer itself. However, a higher-rated tire will have the benefit of running a bit cooler when compared to what you currently have mounted. Trailer tire failure is usually caused by excessive heat and the best way to prevent this is by observing the tires' rated weight capacity, speed rating and psi pressure. Using a tire that can handle more weight...

  • Replacement Trailer Tires for a Boat Trailer with 4.80/4.00-8 Tires
  • First, bigger tires require that you have enough clearance around the existing tires on the trailer for the larger size. You will need to determine how much space there is available before going to a larger tire. Also going to larger tires will not increase the capacity of the trailer. The tires that we carry are rated for 65 miles per hour (unless otherwise stated on the tires). Trailer tire # AM10004 that you have referenced would be your best option if you stay with the same tire...

  • Can I Upgrade from a 4.800/4.00-8 Tire to a 5.7/8-8 Tire on a Time Out Tent Trailer
  • You can upgrade to a higher rated tire but the overall diameter will go up 2 inches and typically will end up also have a wider section width. If your trailer can accommodate the larger diameter and width then this is a possible solution for your trailer. Both the 4.80/4.00-8 and the 5.7/8-8 tires will fit a 3-3/4 inch rim width, so a tire like # AM10013 with a load range of D will have an overall diameter of 18 inches when fully inflated and have a section width of 5.8 inches. It's...

  • Does Going to Smaller Trailer Ride Affect Ride Quality
  • You would be losing 2 inches of total tire diameter by making that switch. Most likely that means the trailer would slightly bounce more. Would also lose a bit of ground clearance. Better option would be to stick with same size with replacement tire part # AM10013.

  • Recommended Trailer Wheel Size for Carrying 88-lb Kayak and Other Items Totalling 300-lbs or Less
  • Tire size in itself does not mean that a tire is unsuitable for use on your kayak trailer which you'll be pulling long distances at highways speeds. Trailer tires are all rated for a maximum speed of 65-mph unless specified otherwise by their manufacturer, but they can vary significantly in how much of a weight load they can carry. Trailer tire load ranges are referred to by a letter code. Load range D tires can carry more weight than C tires, which in turn can carry more weight than Load...

  • Log Splitter Tire Recommendation that Would Help Prevent Flats
  • We have tires that would fit your 8 inch rim that is 3-3/4 inches in width like the Kenda Bias Ply Trailer tire part # AM10013, but as far as making it flat-free you would need to look into installing a tube in the tire and then using a product like Slime to fill the tire and prevent flats.
