Can I Upgrade from a 4.800/4.00-8 Tire to a 5.7/8-8 Tire on a Time Out Tent Trailer

Question:
I have a Time Out tent trailer that I hook behind my motorcycle. Currently she has 4.80/4.00-8 tires on but I want to upgrade to a higher rated tire, looking at the 5.7/8-8 tires complete, want to make sure the measurements are closely the same and that it will be fine

You can upgrade to a higher rated tire but the overall diameter will go up 2 inches and typically will end up also have a wider section width. If your trailer can accommodate the larger diameter and width then this is a possible solution for your trailer.
Both the 4.80/4.00-8 and the 5.7/8-8 tires will fit a 3-3/4 inch rim width, so a tire like # AM10013 with a load range of D will have an overall diameter of 18 inches when fully inflated and have a section width of 5.8 inches.
It's important to note that you will be limited to the lowest rated capacity in your setup so if you plan on using the same rims you may be limited to their capacity if it is lower than the tire itself.
I have linked a few help articles on tires for your convenience.
