Perfect for Tight Spaces: Compact 3-Foot Length

Navigating tight setups or crowded parking lots? The 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector is designed with a 3-foot length to offer flexibility and convenience, making it a great choice for users who need a compact solution without sacrificing utility. From personal boats to sleek pop-up campers, this length is ideal for those looking for a neat, tight fit without excess wiring slack.

Robust Multi-Gauge Support: Durability Across Functions

The connector comes pre-wired with multiple wire gauges, ensuring optimal performance for various functionalities. The wire gauges include 14-Gauge for red, brown, green, and yellow, 12-Gauge for blue, and 10-Gauge for black and white. This feature ensures that each function, such as brake power or lighting, receives the right level of support and conductivity for reliable and efficient operation.

Resilient Wiring Configuration: Built to Last

The importance of a secure connection cannot be understated, and with heavy-duty molded wiring, this connector is built to resist the elements. Featuring moisture-repelling capabilities, the molded connector reduces corrosion risks, making it perfect for long-lasting use on trailers frequently exposed to harsh weather conditions.

Simplified Wiring Code: Troublesome Wiring Be Gone

With a detailed wiring code laid out in a user-friendly table, say goodbye to confusing installations. Each wire is clearly labeled for its typical function, like the white wire for ground and red for left turn and brake, providing a straightforward guide, even if standard color codes vary.

Adaptable to Varied Applications: Versatile Connection Options

Whether using it for a standard RV setup or a custom application, the 7-way molded connector supports a range of trailer configurations. Just cut off your old 4-way plug, wire in the new 7-way connector, and enjoy broader connectivity options that cater to modern towing needs.

Ideal for Upgrades: Seamless Conversion for Better Compatibility

If you're upgrading from a basic 4-way system and want enhanced connectivity, this connector provides an effective solution. Upgrade your trailer connections with the 7-way to get more comprehensive functionality, such as battery charging and aux circuits, ensuring your trailer is outfitted for any journey ahead.

by:

Always great product

by:

excellent, quik ship, follow up

by:

Excellent quality. Needs to be at least a foot longer. Thanks.

by:

This is a good 7-way trailer connector for the price.

by:

Very good quality product and easy to hard wire in.

by:

Connector is well made and eTrailer's service was great. Thanks

by:

I like it. It's better than what's on my rig now.

by:

Seems to be working as needed no problems

by:

Work great for my trailer easy to install

by:

Good quality, quick shipping. Only problem is it should be 4' long. that would place the splice in a more secure part of the frame.

by:

Shipping and product were great. Got it quick. Wish it was bout 6 inches longer.

by:

Second time using e-trailer and I can't believe how easy it is. Parts come super fast and service is A+++. Always happy. Thanks

by:

Excellent product. Worth the money versus trying to attach your own wires to the plug.

by:

7-Way Molded Trailer Wire ConnUnit looks to be well built and made to last. Haven't installed it yet but with the instructions it will be rather easy. The unit went out fast but it took about a week to get here. That is my only gripe.

by:

This item is fine. Get the next longer length pigtail. I ended up getting the longer length.

by:

Works great! This connector was easy to wire in and works perfectly. Mine was a little short of 3 feet so keep this in mind if you need the entire length to fit.

by:

As described, wires don't match but color conversion chart made things easy and as always quick shipping! A+

by:

Fast shipping and this is a well made product. I like the sealed plug to the cord so no water enters and causes corrosion. Will buy from E-trailer again.

by:

Product was new Have not installed yet but looks good Delivery was fast and transaction was good would use etrailer again

by:

Needed for 2010 Nissan Frontier. Looking at the picture it looked like what I needed; it was. The wireing guide on the website was correct. My order was processed the same day.

by:

Friendly helpful staff. I gave the description of my 2 vehicles and what I needed and they found the parts for me. I have done business with E trailer many times and never had a bad experience. I will continue to do business in the future.

by:

Heavy molded cord assembly is far superior to take apart universal end you can get. Expect this to last along time. Looks better than split loom assembly trailer cam with from factory.

by:

Great quality product, however 3FT is probably too short for many applications. I should have measured before I ordered, but 3FT was too short to reach my junction box while leaving enough slack.

  • Tekonsha Prodigy Electronic Brake Cable Replacement for Damaged One Dragging on Road
Easiest solution we can offer for replacing the 7-way and lead of your Prodigy RF part # TK94FR is to hardwire in the part # H20042 in place of the one you lost. Or you could even cut the loom on both side of what you have, strip back the wiring, and then butt end connect all of the connections. For a set of ten butt connectors you'd then want the part # DW05745-10.

  • What Gauge Wire Is Required On a 7-Way Connector
On a 7-Way connector the suggested minimum wire gauge for the White (ground) wire, the Red or Black (power) wire, and the Blue (brake power) wire is 12 gauge. The minimum wire gauge for the remaining Green (right turn/brake) wire, the Yellow (left turn/brake) wire, the Brown (tail lights) wire, and the Purple (reverse light) wire is 16 gauge. I have the Hopkins 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector with Lead, part # H20042. This is a 7-Way blade plug on one end and a 3 foot wire lead. Also,...

  • Solution For Connecting European Style 7-way To Standard RV 7-Way
Hello David, thanks for reaching out. I do have a solution for you, but we do not have an adapter for a European style 7-way to a standard RV 7-way. What I would do is simply replace the EU 7-way with a standard RV 7-way. It should be pretty easy to re-wire using a plug like the Hopkins # H20042. I have included a wiring diagram for your reference.

  • Adding 7-Way Connector to Trailer With 4-Way
Hi Nestor; all you need to do this is a 7-way connector. You can use the # PK12706 or get a 7-way with a plug and lead like # H20042. You will match your current 4-way wires up with the correct wires/pins on the 7-way so the functions carry over correctly. If you get the plug and lead the white is ground, left turn/brake is red, right turn/brake is brown, and tail lights/running lights is green. Your current 4-way likely has the standard colors with yellow for left turn/brake, green for...

If you absolutely do not want to splice into the vehicle you could use the trailer connector to power the third brake light on a truck bed camper but the issue with using the trailer connector is that the stop/turn circuits are combined. Therefore, you would need to make your own adapter using the Pacer Performance 3rd Brake Light Logic Module part # PP20-702 and the 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector part # H20042.
