These change plug styles only—no built-in converter to combine separate stop/turn circuits—so verify pinouts and be ready to swap 12v and brake leads when your setup calls for it.
Use a couple of adapters since there isn't a straight 4-round to 7-way. First adapt 4-round to 4-flat at the tow vehicle, then use an adapter from 4-flat to the 7-way style you need (round or blade). With only 4 wires you'll get lighting functions; trailer brakes and 12V power won't be active without additional circuits.
